Editorial Review
Our Take on Mr. Pipey Plumbing
The review that names a specific technician and calls him the best plumber in southeast Michigan is the kind of detail that is hard to manufacture, and the pattern of fast, accommodating dispatch shows up across multiple reviews rather than just one. The missing license number is the one gap worth closing with a direct question before booking.

About Mr. Pipey Plumbing
Mr. Pipey Plumbing operates from Burt Road on Detroit's west side, and the reviews point consistently to one thing: speed. A 4.8 average from 570 Google reviews, read on September 18, 2026, is a strong record for a company of this size, and multiple reviewers describe same-day dispatch and appointment scheduling handled without friction.
One customer described the process from first call to technician arrival as very accommodating, with the technicians professional and knowledgeable throughout. Another reviewer went further, naming technician John Bulinda directly and calling him the best plumber in all of southeast Michigan, citing his knowledge, professionalism, honesty and attention to detail. Naming a specific technician in that kind of detail, in a review that otherwise reads as unprompted, is a stronger signal than a generic five-star rating on its own.
The company advertises emergency plumbing service, though full 24/7 availability is not explicitly stated on its site, and backs its work with what it calls a 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee, without spelling out the specific terms. It maintains an active presence across Facebook, the Better Business Bureau, Angi, Yelp, Houzz, Thumbtack and Pinterest, more third-party platforms than most local plumbers bother maintaining, which gives a homeowner several places to cross-check its reputation beyond Google alone.
No license number, founding year or insurance detail is published on the company's own site, which is worth asking about directly, particularly for any gas line or permit work.
Who this suits: Detroit homeowners who want fast dispatch and are comfortable choosing a company based on a strong, specific review record rather than published credentials. Who might look elsewhere: anyone who wants to see a license number or founding year before the first call.
Before booking, ask for the Michigan plumbing license number directly, confirm what the satisfaction guarantee specifically covers, and ask whether emergency calls carry a different rate than a scheduled appointment.
