- Christopher Krawiec1.0Spring on a heavy wooden 2 bay garage door broke, called Best Garage Door and Gate, came out fairly quickly and replaced the spring at $960. Next day door won't open more than a foot, called them again, reluctantly came out the following day, tightened up the spring a bit, opener worked and the guy left. Today again opener cant pull the door up, tech arguing that theres nothing he can do except sell us a new opener and completely swap out all the rails and hardware. Hard upsell. Opener was fine until spring broke. Door with new spring so heavy I could barely lift it. If something goes wrong, they don't want to come out again because they've already been paid. The main number seems to be just a dispatcher. I hired another outfit to come fix the problem. His assessment was their price was high, the new spring a size too small but he was able to balance it all out. I initially called this outfit because there were plenty of 5 star reviews, now I wonder how many are friends and neighbors. That was my experience.June 2026Google
