The core of the business is drains and sewers, and that shapes everything else about it. ExpressRooter Plumbing offers camera inspection, pipe locating, hydro jetting, smoke testing, trenchless repair, full drain replacement and backwater valve installation, with waterproofing and basement flood protection sitting alongside. General plumbing repairs are on the list too, but a reader comparing quotes should understand that this is a company set up to deal with what happens below the floor slab and out under the front lawn.

That matters in Mississauga more than people expect. Large stretches of Lakeview, Port Credit, Cooksville and Mineola were built between the 1920s and the 1960s, which means clay tile laterals, cast iron stacks and mature silver maples whose roots find every joint. A recurring kitchen backup in a house of that vintage is rarely a one-off clog. It is usually a root mass or a bellied section of pipe, and the only way to know which is to put a camera down and locate the trouble spot before anyone starts quoting on excavation. Newer subdivisions north of the 403 have PVC laterals and fewer of these problems, though grease and flushable wipes still cause plenty of grief.

Homeowners here also live with wet basements. Mississauga sits on clay soils that shed water slowly, and the creeks running through the city, Etobicoke, Cooksville and the Credit, all have neighbourhoods around them where storm surcharge is a known risk. Backwater valves, sump systems and exterior waterproofing are standard remedies, and subsidy programs have existed at the municipal level in parts of the GTA for exactly this work. Worth asking whether any Mississauga or Peel program currently applies to your address, because the company's site references a Toronto-specific subsidy rather than a Peel one.

How they present the commercial side is fairly distinctive. The website says pricing is upfront and flat rate rather than hourly, that there is no overtime surcharge, and that plumbers are not paid commission, which is the kind of structure that removes the incentive to pad a job. It also advertises a lifetime guarantee on underground drainage repairs, HomeStars category wins across several years, a membership scheme called the Triple Fix Club tied to donations to Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children, and home protection plans for ongoing maintenance. These are the company's own claims, and a reader should ask for the guarantee terms in writing before signing anything. A lifetime guarantee on buried pipe is a meaningful promise, so the detail of what voids it is the part to read.

Published hours of 24 hours a day, seven days a week, put ExpressRooter Plumbing in the emergency call-out bracket, and the site says a technician will be on site within 24 hours of an emergency call. The Google Business Profile rating of 4.7 from 387 reviews, read on September 18, 2026, is a solid record for a firm working across a service area that stretches from Burlington to Durham Region. That breadth is the trade-off. A company covering the whole GTA from one dispatch operation can take longer to reach you at peak times than a plumber who only works Mississauga, so if timing is critical, ask for a specific arrival window rather than accepting a general assurance.

Good fit: a homeowner with a backing-up main drain, a basement that takes water in summer storms, a buyer who wants a sewer scope before firming up an offer, or anyone weighing a backwater valve against another wet spring. The aging-in-place work, comfort-height toilets, walk-in shower plumbing and leak prevention, is a useful addition if you are adapting a house rather than moving out of it. Less obviously the right call if you want a small fixture swap priced by the hour, since flat-rate quoting tends to favour larger and messier jobs, or if you need a licensed gas fitter, which the profile does not list.

Before booking, confirm the licence and WSIB coverage, ask whether the diagnostic camera fee is credited against repair work, get the excavation quote broken into pipe, restoration and permit line items, and check who handles the municipal permit and road cut if the repair extends past the property line. Ontario work of that sort needs both.
