Editorial Review
Our Take on Sting Garage Door Service Pasadena
The combination of garage doors and automatic gates under one licence is the practical draw here, particularly for gated San Gabriel Valley properties where those two systems tend to fail in the same decade. A 5.0 average across 89 Google reviews is a strong signal, and publishing licence 1078172 openly is a good sign of a contractor happy to be checked. Just pin down the arrival window and the written price, given how wide the stated service area runs.

Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. A company will often travel beyond the areas listed here for a large job and decline a small one at the same distance, so confirm your address before scheduling.
About Sting Garage Door Service Pasadena
Two trades sit under one roof here, and that shapes who the company suits. Plenty of Los Angeles contractors do overhead doors only, then hand you a second number for the driveway gate. Sting Garage Door Service Pasadena, trading through the ALL Garage Doors and Gates website, lists garage door installation, repair, spring replacement and opener work alongside fence gate installation and repair, wrought iron and sliding gate styles included. For a property with both a two-car garage and a street gate, that saves a second round of scheduling and a second diagnostic fee.
The repair side is where most calls start. Torsion and extension springs are the usual culprit, since a spring is rated in cycles rather than years and a busy household chews through them faster than a quiet one. When one goes it goes loudly, the door becomes far too heavy to lift by hand, and the opener will strain or refuse outright. The company lists spring replacement as its own service line and advertises emergency garage door repair, which matters if your only vehicle is sealed inside. Openers are the other frequent failure, whether the logic board has cooked in a hot garage or the safety sensors have drifted out of alignment.
Installation work covers both residential and commercial doors. On the home side that means the usual choices between steel sectional, insulated panels for a garage that doubles as a workshop or gym, and the flush or carriage styles that suit older Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley housing. Commercial customers tend to need rolling steel or sectional doors sized to a specific opening, with cycle life and operator type mattering more than looks. The brief does not name particular door brands, so ask which manufacturers the crew installs and who honours the warranty if a panel or an opener fails in year three.
Geography is worth thinking about. The site names Los Angeles, Santa Clarita and Ventura counties as the service area, which is a wide spread across freeway distances that can turn an hour job into a half-day. If you are in Pasadena, Altadena or Arcadia, confirm the arrival window rather than assuming a same-morning slot. The Yelp profile linked from the site is registered in North Hollywood, so the operation appears to work across the basin rather than from a single storefront near you.
The review record is the clearest evidence available. Read on September 3, 2026, the Google Business Profile showed a 5.0 rating from 89 reviews, with the listing categorised as a garage door supplier. Eighty-nine reviews at a perfect average is a genuinely good showing, and the customer comments published on the company site describe fair pricing and an easy crew to deal with. Treat those site testimonials as selected rather than representative, as you would with any contractor.
A licence number, 1078172, is published on the website. That is more transparency than many garage door outfits offer, and it lets you check status and classification directly with the California State License Board before anyone opens a toolbox. Ask separately about liability and workers compensation cover, since a licence alone does not confirm either. Ask too whether the quoted price includes the service call, and what the after-hours rate looks like if you are calling at nine on a Sunday night.
On price, garage door work in Los Angeles varies enormously depending on whether you are buying a single spring, a full opener swap or a custom gate build, and no pricing is published in the brief. Get the number in writing before work starts, including hardware. For gate jobs, clarify whether electrical work at the operator is included or whether a separate electrician is needed.
Who is this not for? Anyone who wants a showroom visit to handle door samples in person, since the brief describes no walk-in location. Anyone chasing the absolute cheapest spring swap will find outfits advertising lower headline numbers, though those quotes have a habit of growing on the driveway. For a homeowner who wants a licensed contractor covering both the garage door and the gate, with a strong public review record behind it, sting garage door service pasadena is a reasonable name to put on a shortlist of three quotes.

Sting Garage Door Service Pasadena FAQs
Is Sting Garage Door Service Pasadena licensed?
Its website publishes contractor licence number 1078172. You can check the status and classification of that number directly with the California State License Board before booking. A licence on its own does not confirm liability or workers compensation cover, so ask about insurance separately when you call.
How good are the reviews?
The Google Business Profile showed a 5.0 rating from 89 reviews when read on September 3, 2026. That is a strong record for a garage door company. The testimonials shown on the company's own site are selected by the business, so weigh the independent Google and Yelp listings more heavily.
Do they repair driveway gates as well as garage doors?
Yes. The service list covers fence gate installation and repair alongside garage door work, including misalignment, damaged hinges, jammed mechanisms and malfunctioning gate openers. Gate styles mentioned include wrought iron and sliding designs. For gate jobs, ask whether electrical work at the operator is included in the quote.
Can they come out the same day for a broken spring?
Emergency garage door repair is listed as one of its services, though no response time is published in the material available. A snapped torsion spring leaves the door far too heavy to lift safely by hand, so describe the symptom clearly on the phone and ask for a firm arrival window rather than a rough estimate.
What areas does the company cover?
Its website names Los Angeles, Santa Clarita and Ventura counties. That is a broad territory by freeway standards, so if you are in Pasadena, Altadena or the wider San Gabriel Valley, confirm the scheduling window when you book. The linked Yelp profile is registered in North Hollywood.
What should I ask before agreeing to a quote?
Ask for a written total that includes parts, labour and any service call fee, and confirm the after-hours rate if you are calling at night or on a weekend. For a new door or opener, ask which manufacturers they install, what the warranty covers, and who handles a claim if a panel or logic board fails a couple of years in.
How do I contact them?
The published phone number is (626) 790-9980, and the website is garagedoorgatepros.com. The company also links to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, TikTok and Yelp profiles under the ALL Garage Doors and Gates name, where recent job photos are typically posted.
Is Sting Garage Door Service Pasadena licensed and insured?
We checked 0 of 2 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.
What areas does Sting Garage Door Service Pasadena serve?
Los Angeles. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.
Does Sting Garage Door Service Pasadena offer emergency service?
Yes, the company lists emergency availability. Response time depends on demand, and after a storm every company in the market is stretched.
What warranty do they offer?
Warranty terms are not on file. Ask for them in writing before work starts.
How was this profile built?
Credentials come from issuing authorities, ratings from the company's Google Business Profile with the date we read them, and the editorial take from our own review of estimates, warranty documents and public feedback. Anything the business told us is labelled as reported.
Can a business pay to improve its profile?
A business can subscribe to manage its own listing details, and it can buy a labelled sponsored placement. Neither changes a ranking position or the editorial assessment on this page.
Is Something Incorrect?
Business information changes. Tell us about an address, phone, website, service area, credential or ownership change, or let us know if this company has closed.
