Editorial Review

Our Take on AquaMen Waterproofing & Underpinning

AquaMen's transferable 25-year warranty and WSIB coverage give it a firmer footing than most small crews, and its 4.9 from 108 Google reviews backs that up with consistent praise for tidy, honest work. The website is thin on named people and prices, so the quote and warranty paperwork matter more than usual. A strong pick for exterior waterproofing on older Mississauga homes.

I recently hired the team at AquaMen to complete exterior waterproofing on my century home in Mississauga. The older-style foundation had been allowing a significant amount of water to enter the building, and AquaMen came in with a competitive quote while taking the time to clearly explain the entire scope of work, along with the pros and cons of the different waterproofing options. We ultimately decided to proceed with exterior waterproofing, and they were very flexible with my schedule, as the site could only be worked on during Saturdays. During the job, unexpected work came up when they discovered an old concrete tank underground that had to be broken down and removed. They handled the situation professionally and only charged a minimal fee for the additional work, whereas many other companies likely would have taken advantage of the situation. Pavlo and Dymtro worked incredibly hard, and I have a lot of respect for them. There was a tremendous amount of manual labour involved, especially with digging that could not be done by machine. In a time when many people look for shortcuts, Pavlo and Dymtro stood out as hardworking, honest, and reliable. I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending AquaMen to others and would definitely use them again for any future waterproofing needs.

Pavlo was excellent. The crew finished the job in one day. They were experienced, friendly. The definitely knew what they were doing. After the job was done they cleaned after themselves and left the job site finished and super clean.

Company Background

About AquaMen Waterproofing & Underpinning

AquaMen Waterproofing & Underpinning is built around a transferable 25-year warranty, which the company's own website puts front and centre and offers to show as a sample. The business runs from Unit 16 at 1951 Rathburn Road East in Mississauga's Rockwood Village area and describes itself as family owned, with installers who are employees rather than subcontractors. It also states that it carries full insurance, HST registration and WSIB coverage. The website names no owners and does not give a founding year, so those facts are left out here.

The work covers exterior waterproofing with excavation and membrane, interior drainage systems, foundation crack repair, structural repairs coordinated with an engineer's report, crawl space encapsulation, sump pump installation, basement walkouts, and underpinning to lower a basement floor. Emergency crews are advertised around the clock, and Google lists the business as open 24 hours. The service area is the Greater Toronto Area plus roughly 40 to 60 km, depending on which page you read.

Reviewers keep returning to the same few things. One homeowner with a century home in Mississauga described an unexpected buried concrete tank that the crew removed for a minimal extra charge, and credited Pavlo for hard manual digging. Another said Pavlo's attention to detail and spotless cleanup stood out. A third booked a same-day visit after a leak, then watched the crew work from 7:30 am to 9 pm on the scheduled date. AquaMen holds 4.9 from 108 Google reviews, read October 21, 2026. The fair caveat is that several website pages are written with Toronto in mind and no prices are published, so insist on a written scope and quote.

AquaMen suits homeowners with leaking foundation walls, older houses that need exterior excavation, and people who want waterproofing and underpinning from one crew. It suits less well anyone who wants named principals and published prices before making a call. Before booking, ask for a WSIB clearance certificate, proof of liability insurance, a copy of the warranty and what voids it, and a written permit plan with the City of Mississauga where the work needs a permit. Ontario has no waterproofing-specific licence, so also check the company on the Ontario Business Registry.

AquaMen Waterproofing & Underpinning FAQs

  • Is AquaMen Waterproofing & Underpinning licensed and insured in Mississauga?

AquaMen says on its website that it carries full insurance, HST registration and WSIB coverage. Ontario has no waterproofing-specific licence, so ask for a current WSIB clearance certificate and proof of liability insurance before signing. Also ask for a written permit plan with the City of Mississauga where the work needs a permit, such as underpinning or a walkout, and check the company on the Ontario Business Registry. The website names no owners, so confirm who will supervise your job.

  • Does AquaMen Waterproofing & Underpinning offer emergency service for a flooded basement?

Yes, the company advertises an emergency crew available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and Google lists the business as open 24 hours every day. The phone number is 647-575-7753, with a second line at 416-300-1410 on its website. One Google reviewer said a visit happened the same day as the first call, and another reported a next-day job after a leaking foundation wall. Emergency availability can vary with weather, so ask for a firm arrival window when you call.

  • What warranty does AquaMen Waterproofing & Underpinning give, and where does it work?

AquaMen advertises a transferable 25-year warranty on its services and offers a sample warranty to read. Ask what is covered, what voids it, and whether it passes to a buyer if you sell. The company works across the Greater Toronto Area plus roughly 40 to 60 km, with its headquarters at 1951 Rathburn Road East in Mississauga. Estimates are described as free, but the website does not publish prices, so request a written scope and quote.

We checked 0 of 1 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.

Mississauga. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.

There are usually two warranties on a job: the manufacturer covers materials, the contractor covers workmanship. Get both in writing and check whether the workmanship coverage transfers if you sell.

  • Can a business pay to improve its profile?

A business can subscribe to manage its own listing details, and it can buy a labelled sponsored placement. Neither changes a ranking position or the editorial assessment on this page.
