Company Background
About Canada Waterproofers
Canada Waterproofers is unusual in a market full of sales-led outfits because the people who quote your basement are the people who own the company. Carl McDowell and Slava Koval are both Master Plumbers and licensed waterproofers, and the firm's own site says one of them attends every estimate and at least one is present on each project. The company says it has been working in Southern Ontario since 1998, and its Mississauga office is in an industrial unit at 3410 Semenyk Court, Unit 9.
The service list covers interior drainage and sump pits, exterior excavation with membrane and weeping tile, foundation crack repair, French drains, backwater valves, underpinning and sewer and drain repair. Because both owners are plumbers, they say they often trace a wet basement to a failed drain or sewer line rather than the foundation. Its project pages show jobs on Hensall Street in Cooksville, McCovey Drive, Dolson Court and Tradewind Drive.
Reviewers describe tidy crews. One homeowner praised Dimitri, Victor and Gregory for protecting the furnace and appliances and cleaning up after a hard interior job. Another said Slava handled the City permit and inspection for a backwater valve and finished in a day. Carl is named for walking a homeowner through the options before a basement was finished. Canada Waterproofers has 5.0 from 332 Google reviews, read October 21, 2026.
The warranty is a lifetime, transferable written warranty on labour and materials, with exclusions. Sump pumps and their parts are covered only by the manufacturer, up to three years, and discharge pipes are excluded if altered or blocked. The company also operates across the GTA and Niagara, so confirm that a Mississauga crew will do your job.
This firm suits owners who want a plumber's diagnosis and a written lifetime warranty. It suits less well anyone who wants a quote with no site visit or the lowest bid. Ontario has no waterproofing-specific licence, so ask for a WSIB clearance certificate, proof of liability insurance, a written permit plan with the City of Mississauga where the work needs a permit, and check the company on the Ontario Business Registry before you sign.

What are Canada Waterproofers' hours and do they do emergency calls?
Google lists Monday to Saturday 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Sunday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Mississauga office. The company gives a lifetime, transferable written warranty on labour and materials, subject to its terms. Sump pumps are covered only by the manufacturer, up to three years. It serves Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Toronto and other Southern Ontario cities, offers free written quotes, and the site lists financing options, so ask for the details in writing.

Mississauga. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.
Does Canada Waterproofers offer emergency service?
Yes, the company lists emergency availability. Response time depends on demand, and after a storm every company in the market is stretched.
What warranty do they offer?
Lifetime transferable written warranty on labour and materials, subject to terms. Mechanical sump pumps carry the manufacturer warranty of up to 3 years.. There are usually two warranties on a job: the manufacturer covers materials, the contractor covers workmanship. Get both in writing and check whether the workmanship coverage transfers if you sell.
