Company Background
About Aquatech Waterproofing
Aquatech Waterproofing is a Greater Toronto Area basement waterproofing company that now works across Ontario, and its Hamilton page puts it among the best reviewed names for the city: 5.0 from 121 Google reviews, read October 21, 2026. That scale cuts both ways. The company says it was founded in 1996, claims more than 50,000 Ontario homeowners served, and runs one templated site for dozens of cities, so the Hamilton page names no local owner or crew. Google lists an office at 180 James St S, Suite 204, in the Durand neighbourhood, with a Hamilton number, 289-277-7974, and long daily hours. Confirm the suite and who attends your job before booking.
On the work itself, the Hamilton page covers interior drainage, exterior excavation and membrane work, weeping tile, sump pumps with battery backup, backwater valves, window wells, epoxy crack injection, crawl space conversion, underpinning and basement lowering. It points to Ancaster, Dundas, Stoney Creek, the Bayfront, Mount Hope and Grimsby, and talks about clay soils and older housing near the escarpment. It offers a lifetime warranty it says passes to a new owner at no cost, free inspections, a price match on written quotes, financing and 24/7 emergency response. The site also claims ten HomeStars Best of Award wins.
Reviewers name technicians. One homeowner chose Terry after comparing quotes and said Terry, Igor and Igor finished 155 linear feet of interior waterproofing in three days and left the space clean. Another has had a dry basement for 13 years and praised Taras, who handles annual maintenance. Oleksii earned praise for a sump pump service and for explaining battery backup options, and Yaroslav and Lev repaired a foundation crack. All five reviews we read were positive, so we have no complaint to report.
Ontario has no provincial waterproofing licence. Ask for proof of WSIB clearance and liability insurance, and check whether the City of Hamilton requires a permit for your work. This company suits homeowners who want a big, warrantied operation with financing and a quick response. It suits less well anyone who wants a small local owner on site. Ask who attends the job, who stands behind the warranty, and how a follow-up visit is booked.

Aquatech Waterproofing FAQs
Is Aquatech Waterproofing licensed in Hamilton, Ontario?
Ontario has no provincial waterproofing licence, so no licence number can be looked up for this trade. Aquatech Waterproofing says on its site that jobs are led by licensed and insured professionals with Trades Master oversight. Ask for proof of WSIB clearance and liability insurance, and check whether the City of Hamilton requires a permit for your work, which underpinning does.
Does Aquatech Waterproofing offer 24/7 emergency service in Hamilton, and what are its hours?
Yes, the Hamilton page advertises 24/7 emergency response for active basement leaks. Google lists office hours of 7 AM to 11:30 PM on Monday, 7 AM to 10 PM on Tuesday, 8 AM to 9 PM on Wednesday, 8 AM to 10 PM on Thursday and Friday, 8 AM to 9 PM on Saturday and 7 AM to 7 PM on Sunday. Ask how quickly a crew can reach you, because it is a GTA-wide company, not a Hamilton-only one.
Is Aquatech Waterproofing a local Hamilton company, and what warranty does it offer?
Aquatech is a Greater Toronto Area company that serves much of Ontario, and its Hamilton page names no local staff, so confirm the James St S Suite 204 office and who attends your job. The Hamilton page lists Ancaster, Dundas, Stoney Creek, Mount Hope and Grimsby as service areas. Get the warranty terms in writing.
Is Aquatech Waterproofing licensed and insured?
We checked 0 of 2 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.
What areas does Aquatech Waterproofing serve?
Hamilton. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.
Does Aquatech Waterproofing offer emergency service?
Yes, the company lists emergency availability. Response time depends on demand, and after a storm every company in the market is stretched.
What warranty do they offer?
Lifetime warranty on all work that the company says transfers to a new owner at no cost if you sell. Confirm the written terms before signing.. There are usually two warranties on a job: the manufacturer covers materials, the contractor covers workmanship. Get both in writing and check whether the workmanship coverage transfers if you sell.
