I have a very strange thick garage door with a sunken in door knob. There were no off the shelf products available to fix this, but Mike was able to custom make an extended piece for the knob and resolve the problem. A months worth of headache all fixed within an hour without advance notice nor a booking. Thank you!

Company Background

About Henry's Hardware and Locksmithing

Henry's Hardware and Locksmithing is a family-owned hardware store at 1020 Meyerside Drive, Units 9 and 10, and the counter doubles as a working locksmith bench. The company's website says it has served the GTA since 1989. Walk-in customers can have keys cut on the spot, including old or unusual keys that chain stores cannot copy, and the shop also sends technicians out for mobile work at homes and businesses.

The service list is broader than most hardware stores. The site names in-store and mobile locksmithing, high security locks and keys with key control so employees cannot duplicate them, commercial and residential door repair and installation, panic bars and exit devices, door closers, and automatic touchless door entrances with access control. It also cuts and programs automotive keys, with trucks such as Volvo and Freightliner listed next to Honda, Toyota and GMC. The rest of the store stocks tools, fasteners, safety supplies and paint.

Reviewers describe a counter that solves awkward problems. Dave said a thick garage door with a sunken knob had no off-the-shelf fix, and Mike made an extended piece for it within an hour, with no booking. Scott said Canadian Tire and a Minute Key kiosk could not copy his old key, and Henry's cut it within minutes. Peter said Henry showed him the lock he wanted and Rick installed it a few days later. Henry's Hardware and Locksmithing holds 4.9 from 93 Google reviews, read 2026-10-30. None of the five recent reviews read for this profile was negative.

Hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am to 1 pm Saturday, with Sunday closed. The site says it closes on Saturdays from July 1 to September 7. No evening or weekend emergency service is advertised, and the website is a basic template with a 2020 copyright line.

It suits homeowners and businesses that want a key cut, a hard-to-find cylinder or door hardware from a store with decades behind it. It suits less well anyone locked out at night. Before booking, ask for the price up front, ask for ID and a marked vehicle for mobile calls, ask whether a lockout will be non-destructive, ask what warranty covers parts and labour, and check the City of Mississauga business licence, since Ontario has no provincial locksmith licence for residential locksmiths.

Henry's Hardware and Locksmithing FAQs

  • Is Henry's Hardware and Locksmithing licensed in Mississauga?

Henry's does not publish a licence or insurance number on its website. Ontario has no provincial locksmith licence for residential locksmiths, so ask the technician for ID, ask for proof of insurance and check the City of Mississauga business licence before work starts. The company says it is family owned and has served the GTA since 1989.

  • What are Henry's Hardware and Locksmithing's hours, and can I get a locksmith at night?

The store is open 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am to 1 pm Saturday, and closed Sunday. The website says it closes Saturdays from July 1 to September 7. It advertises no night or emergency service, so anyone locked out after hours should call another company, or phone the shop at 905-696-7315 during the day to book mobile work.

  • Can Henry's copy an old or unusual key?

Often yes. One Google reviewer said Canadian Tire and a Minute Key kiosk could not copy an old key and Henry's cut it within minutes at the counter. The store keeps a large wall of key blanks and sells high security keys with key control. Bring the original key, and ask for the price before the cut is made.

  • Is Henry's Hardware and Locksmithing licensed and insured?

We checked 0 of 1 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.

  • What areas does Henry's Hardware and Locksmithing serve?

Mississauga. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.

  • Does Henry's Hardware and Locksmithing offer emergency service?

Emergency availability is not listed for this company. If you need an urgent call-out, check the ranking for companies that do list it.

  • What warranty do they offer?

Warranty terms are not on file. Ask for them in writing before work starts.

  • How was this profile built?

Credentials come from issuing authorities, ratings from the company's Google Business Profile with the date we read them, and the editorial take from our own review of estimates, warranty documents and public feedback. Anything the business told us is labelled as reported.

  • Can a business pay to improve its profile?

A business can subscribe to manage its own listing details, and it can buy a labelled sponsored placement. Neither changes a ranking position or the editorial assessment on this page.
