Our Take on Monkey Wrench Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric
Monkey Wrench's range across plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work is the practical draw here, especially for a job like a water heater replacement that touches all three trades at once. The license number is checkable directly against the state contractor board, which is more than plenty of smaller LA outfits offer.

What We Like

- Handles plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work under one company
- Based in central Los Angeles, covering Hancock Park, Koreatown, and surrounding neighborhoods
- Reviewers describe technicians catching cross-trade issues beyond the original call
Things to Consider
- Smaller review base than some of the larger Los Angeles operations
- Confirm which trade a given technician specializes in for a multi-trade job
- The company's own website lists only a Monterey Park dispatch address, 595 Monterey Pass Rd, and does not show the Beverly Boulevard Los Angeles address on file with Google anywhere; confirm current location before booking

About Monkey Wrench Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric
Monkey Wrench Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric works out of Beverly Boulevard in central Los Angeles, in the Hancock Park and Koreatown corridor, and holds active California contractor license 922757. That's the kind of documentation a customer can actually verify before booking, rather than taking a vague "licensed and insured" claim at face value.
What sets Monkey Wrench apart from a single-trade plumber is the range: plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work under one company. That matters most on jobs that cross trades without warning, a water heater replacement that turns up an undersized gas line, an electrical panel that can't support a new tankless unit, a central air system tied into ductwork that also needs a plumbing vent rerouted. A company that only does plumbing has to bring in a second and sometimes third contractor for jobs like that, and coordinating separate crews on the same project is its own kind of headache.
The company holds a 4.7 rating from 100 Google reviews, read September 18, 2026. A hundred reviews is a smaller sample than some of the larger Los Angeles operations carry, but it's enough to establish a real pattern rather than a handful of curated testimonials, and reviewers describe technicians who catch problems outside the original scope of the call, an electrical issue tied to a plumbing job, for instance, rather than sticking narrowly to what they were dispatched for.
Central Los Angeles, where Monkey Wrench is based, includes a mix of older Craftsman and Spanish Revival homes alongside newer multi-unit construction, and plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems in the older housing stock especially tend to have been updated piecemeal over decades rather than all at once. A contractor who can look at a whole system, not just the pipe or the wire in front of them, is genuinely useful in that kind of housing.
As a multi-trade company covering plumbing, heating, air, and electrical, Monkey Wrench is a practical call for Los Angeles homeowners dealing with a problem that doesn't fit neatly into one trade, and its licensed, checkable credential gives it more documentation than plenty of the single-service competitors around central LA.
