We’re so happy with our basement development and how it turned out! Mike and his team did an absolutely fantastic job. From start to finish, they were professional, reliable, and paid great attention to detail. They were also incredibly patient and gave us the time and options we needed to make decisions without ever making us feel rushed. They used high-quality materials, completed everything on time, and the finishing work was beautifully done. You can really tell they take pride in their work. We couldn’t be happier with the results and would definitely recommend Mike and his team.

We had an excellent experience with Brikon Contracting in Edmonton. They did a stellar job completing our landscaping, fence, and concrete patio, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

The quality of workmanship was excellent, the attention to detail was impressive, and the finished product completely transformed our yard. The team was professional, reliable, and great to deal with throughout the entire project.

I would highly recommend Brikon Contracting to anyone looking for quality landscaping, fencing, or concrete work. Fantastic job from start to finish!

I guess I was one of the unlucky ones. Saw lots of great reviews. I had nothing but issue after issue. Not proper insulation in my bay window as noted by my second contractor with photos to prove this. Siding on my bay window was done in the dark with head light and hand flashlight. Really? So of course work had to be redone. Where others have praised them, I guess I was the unlucky one to have poor quality work done.
Be ware before you hire them. Question the quality of their work and whom they sublet their work too.
I did reach out to the contractor and was told I was just trying to get money out of him. Which was not the truth.

Amazing service and quality of work done by Mike and Ali when doing our fence. When the neighbours are stopping by to tell the contractors and myself how great the job is, you know it was done right!

Had Michael and the team complete a large basement project recently and am very happy with the results and cost. Michael was quick to respond to the initial inquiry and took time to help design and improve on any ideas we had for finishing this project. From concept to completion this was an enjoyable experience working with the Brikon team. Everyone was courteous, friendly, and professional. Job site was left clean every day and our feedback and opinion was encouraged at every step. Would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to use again - actually would be my first call. Thanks again Brikon for a beautiful basement.

Company Background

About Brikon Contracting Ltd

Brikon Contracting works from 10704 181 Street NW in west Edmonton and describes itself as a licensed general contractor serving the city since 2007. The company leans toward basements. Legal suites, full developments and garden suites come first on its home page, with kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home renovations, decks, fences and concrete filling out the list. It also takes commercial build-outs and has a sister company, Brikon Civil Works, for heavy civil jobs.

The site says every project includes permits and inspections, a one-year workmanship warranty and WCB certification, and that the company is insured and bonded. It does not publish a licence number, so ask for one. Its own Q and A page puts a permit-ready legal suite at roughly $60,000 to $100,000 in 2026 and says Edmonton general contractors typically charge a management fee of 10 to 20 percent. Treat those as the company's figures, not a quote. Financing up to $100,000 over as long as 240 months is offered through a lender partner, with rates listed from 13.99 percent.

Google reviewers mention Michael, who handled a basement design and a legal suite, and Mike and Ali, who built a fence and gates. One reviewer, a journeyman carpenter of almost 50 years, said he contracted three or four companies for a 1,300 square foot basement. The reviews also show exterior and landscape work, so confirm that your project is a core service.

Brikon has 4.9 from 57 Google reviews, read October 31, 2026. Hours are Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Brikon suits homeowners planning a basement suite or a mid-size renovation who want one contractor to manage permits. It suits less well anyone who wants a warranty longer than one year or a named team page, since the site lists neither. Before booking, get a written itemized quote, ask who pulls each permit, request the licence and WCB clearance details, and check the City of Edmonton business licence.
