Company Background
About Flow Contractors
FLOW Contractors operates from 14306 140 Street NW in the Pembina area of northwest Edmonton and calls itself a general contractor for both commercial and residential clients. Its About page says Flow General Contractors Corp was established in 2019 by Ben Alvarez, and that his younger brother Luciano Alvarez joined in 2021. On the home side, the site lists basement and garage development, kitchen and bathroom renovations, main-floor remodels, additions and full-home transformations, with one point of contact coordinating the trades. The company also does tenant improvements and commercial build-outs, plus electrical-related work such as lighting design, fire alarm installation and generator service, so it is a broader operation than a pure home renovator.
The site is direct about scope. FLOW says it does not take minor household repairs or small residential service calls. It offers a free on-site consultation and a satisfaction guarantee, says it stands behind its work with warranties, up-front pricing and detailed estimates, and describes its process as running from planning and permitting through a final walkthrough. It lists service to Leduc, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Fort Saskatchewan, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Devon, Gibbons, Beaumont and Morinville as well as Edmonton. It does not publish a licence number, a warranty length or prices.
Reviewers name Luciano as the person who quoted and ran their jobs. One had a basement finished and said the cost stayed within budget and beat two other quotes. Another, with a 1959 house, praised electrical upgrades that made it safer, and a third said Luciano offered several ways to fix an electrical problem and saved them money. Electrical work shows up more than kitchens or bathrooms in the sampled reviews, so ask to see recent renovation projects.
FLOW has 5.0 from 61 Google reviews, read October 31, 2026. The office is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
FLOW suits homeowners planning a basement, a main floor or a whole-home renovation who want a general contractor that is also comfortable with electrical work. It suits less well small repairs, weekend appointments or a buyer who wants posted pricing. As a company founded in 2019 it has the shortest track record on this list. Before booking, ask for a written itemized quote, the licence and WCB details, who pulls permits and the warranty in writing, and check the City of Edmonton business licence.
