Editorial Review
Our Take on Expert HVAC Solutions Ltd
Expert HVAC's credentials and 17-year track record are real strengths, and the repeated praise for technician Riley suggests the day-to-day repair experience is solid. The two recent new-construction install complaints are specific enough that anyone booking an installation, not just a repair, should ask pointed questions first.

- Rob Fitzpatrick5.0I had a new air conditioning system installed at my son’s house. The technician was excellent and educated me on my old air conditioning system. In 20 years I had never had the coils in the furnace cleaned. Didn’t know I should. After what I learned I booked again to have my system serviced. The work was performed well and no up sell on either visit. Stuck to what they had quoted. I highly recommend this company.September 2026Google

About Expert HVAC Solutions Ltd
Expert HVAC Solutions has operated in Calgary since 2008, founded by Terry and Carmen Tetz after Terry had already spent years in the heating and cooling trade elsewhere. The company is a Carrier factory-authorized dealer, which means it installs and services Carrier equipment to the manufacturer's own standards, and it holds a stack of credentials beyond that: Certificate of Recognition (COR) safety accreditation, BBB accreditation, and membership in the Alberta Construction Safety Association, Merit Contractors Association, Sheet Metal Contractors Association of Alberta and HRAI, the national heating and refrigeration trade body.
Reviewers consistently name one technician, Riley, across recent service calls, describing him as showing up on time, explaining every step of a diagnosis, and giving competitive pricing during a summer AC failure. That kind of repeat naming across independent reviews is a good sign the company keeps its best people on residential calls rather than rotating them elsewhere.
Not every recent review is positive. Two reviews from within the past four months describe an air conditioning installation at a new-construction home where a technician's error caused problems the homeowner says weren't resolved to their satisfaction. It's worth raising directly if you're considering a new install rather than a repair.
Expert HVAC runs 24/7 emergency service and a Monthly Furnace Maintenance Program with VIP-style scheduled tune-ups, useful for homeowners who want to avoid surprise breakdowns rather than call only when something fails. Financing is available for larger jobs.
The company suits homeowners who want a well-credentialed, Carrier-focused installer with a long local track record. It's a weaker fit if you've read the two recent install complaints and want a company with a completely clean recent record instead. Before booking a full install, ask specifically which technician will be on site, get the installation warranty in writing, and confirm the company's current Alberta gasfitter certificate of qualification.
