Editorial Review
Our Take on Gentech Roofing
Gentech is a commercial and industrial flat roofing specialist that, according to reviews, also repairs leaks on shingled roofs, and customers consistently praise its responsive office. Its credentials and 5, 10, 15 and 20 year warranty options look solid on paper, but the warranty terms and a founding year are not published. A 4.9 rating from 51 reviews is strong, though the volume is modest.

Why Gentech Roofing Made Our Top 10
It holds position 10 in 10 Best Roofing Companies in Mississauga, ON (2026).
Areas Served
Based in Mississauga, ON.
iAbout service coverage
Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. A company will often travel beyond the areas listed here for a large job and decline a small one at the same distance, so confirm your address before scheduling.
Company Background
About Gentech Roofing
Call the Dundas Street East office of Gentech Roofing at 905-270-6799 and, going by recent Google reviews, you are likely to reach Christine, whom customers credit with quick replies to emails and calls and with keeping them informed from scheduling through the finished roof. The company works from Unit B6 at 1590 Dundas Street East in Mississauga and describes itself as family-owned and operated, with more than 35 years of experience. Its website does not give a founding year.
The work leans commercial and industrial: flat roof repair and replacement, free inspections, preventative maintenance, emergency leak repair, new construction, drone inspections and thermal infrared scans. Gentech lists itself as a GAF certified roofing contractor, an IKO IAAP applicator and a registered Polyglass contractor, and says it is WSIB compliant and fully insured. It also cites Readers' Choice Best Roofing Company recognition from the Brampton Guardian, Mississauga News and Toronto Star, though the site does not link to the awards. Warranties are called Edge-to-Edge and come in 5, 10, 15 and 20 year versions, with terms available on request.
Reviewers talk about people more than products. Roger is thanked for tracking down a persistent leak and replacing a vent, caulking and repairing shingles. Dylan is praised for a thorough inspection and clear recommendations, and Dan, a foreman, for showing up on time and running an efficient crew. Another customer noted how clean the site was left. Gentech has 4.9 from 51 Google reviews, read October 14, 2026. The five reviews we read were all positive, so the thin spot is volume rather than complaints.
Gentech serves Mississauga, including Streetsville and Malton, along with Brampton, Oakville, Toronto and much of the wider GTA. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM.
This suits building owners, property managers and homeowners with flat roof or leak problems who value responsive office staff. It suits less well anyone wanting metal roofing or storm work, which the site does not list, or a small job outside the Greater Toronto core, since some regions carry a 5,000 square foot minimum. Before booking, ask for proof of WSIB clearance and liability insurance, a written estimate and the manufacturer warranty terms, because Ontario does not licence roofers provincially.

What are Gentech Roofing's hours, and do they do emergency leak repair?
Gentech Roofing is open Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM and closed on Saturday and Sunday, according to its Google listing. The company lists emergency leak repair as a service and asks urgent callers to phone 905-270-6799. Its site does not state response times or after hours availability, so confirm that when you call.
What warranty does Gentech Roofing offer?
Gentech Roofing offers Edge-to-Edge warranties in 5, 10, 15 and 20 year terms. Is Gentech Roofing licensed and insured?
We checked 0 of 4 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.
What areas does Gentech Roofing serve?
Mississauga. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.
Does Gentech Roofing offer emergency service?
Yes, the company lists emergency availability. Response time depends on demand, and after a storm every company in the market is stretched.
What warranty do they offer?
Edge-to-Edge warranties in 5, 10, 15 and 20 year terms; coverage details provided on request.. There are usually two warranties on a job: the manufacturer covers materials, the contractor covers workmanship. Get both in writing and check whether the workmanship coverage transfers if you sell.
