Editorial Review
Our Take on Its Plumbing
The well water focus is the genuinely useful differentiator here, and paired with round-the-clock hours and a 4.9 average from 84 Google reviews it makes a reasonable shortlist candidate for anyone outside the serviced core. We would want the warranty terms, the licence numbers and the flat-rate promise written onto the estimate before signing, mostly because the website leaves those points general. The placeholder text still sitting in the site's testimonials section is a small thing, but it is the kind of detail that makes a reader wonder what else has not been finished.

About Its Plumbing
Rural and edge-of-city properties are where this company's service list makes the most sense. Alongside the usual indoor work, it advertises complete well water treatment, high-efficiency well pump installation and well water testing for both homes and businesses. That matters in this part of Ontario. Once you get past the serviced suburbs into Greely, Manotick, Carp or out toward Kemptville, private wells and septic systems are common, and pump failures, iron staining, sulphur smells and pressure tank problems are routine calls rather than specialist oddities. Plenty of Ottawa plumbers will do a water heater swap and leave well systems alone.
The indoor range covers what most households need. Bathroom plumbing, kitchen plumbing, drains and sewers, sump pumps, sewage pits and sewer pumps, water heaters, water pressure tanks and water treatment. Heating and cooling appear as separate categories with a maintenance package attached, which suggests HVAC work is handled in-house rather than referred out. Emergency repair is presented as a round-the-clock service, and the published hours on the Google profile back that up with 24 hours listed for all seven days. Its Plumbing also states that emergency work carries upfront flat-rate pricing with no overtime charges, which is worth confirming at the time of booking because after-hours premiums are one of the biggest sources of billing surprises in this trade.
On credentials, the company says every job is done by a fully licensed plumber and gas fitter, not an apprentice or a handyman. In Ontario those are distinct qualifications, and the gas fitting side is the one that matters if you are replacing a gas water heater, moving a line for a range, or having a furnace looked at. Nothing in the brief verifies licence numbers, so ask for them directly and ask whether the person quoting is the person who will be on site. The site also mentions a warranty on all plumbing services and a satisfaction guarantee, but does not spell out the length or what it covers, so get the terms in writing on the estimate. A 0% payment plan is advertised for larger jobs, with no lender or term detail given.
Reviewers on Google have been consistently positive: 4.9 from 84 reviews as read on September 27, 2026. That is a strong average, and the volume is enough to mean something without being so large that individual experiences get buried. Read a handful of the recent ones and look for the job type that matches yours, since a company that shines on water heater replacements may be a different proposition on a sewer line dig.
Ottawa adds a few wrinkles worth raising before you hire. Freeze risk is real from late November through March, and any work involving hose bibs, unheated crawl spaces or garage lines should account for it. Older Glebe, Hintonburg and Sandy Hill houses can still have galvanised supply or clay drain laterals, which turns a simple repair into a partial repipe or a sectional replacement, so ask for a camera inspection before committing to drain work. City permits and inspection are required for certain drain, backflow and gas work, and you want the contractor pulling those, not you. Rebates for backwater valve and sump pump installation have existed through municipal programs in the past, so ask whether the work being proposed might qualify.
Who it suits: homeowners across Nepean, Barrhaven, Kanata, Stittsville and Orleans who want one number for plumbing and heating, and well-system owners further out who need pumps, tanks and treatment handled together. Its Plumbing is likely less relevant if you need large commercial mechanical contracting or new-build rough-in at scale, since nothing in the material points that way. As with any Ottawa plumber, get at least two written quotes on anything above a straightforward repair, compare the scope line by line rather than the bottom figure, and confirm proof of liability insurance and WSIB coverage before work starts.

Its Plumbing FAQs
Does Its Plumbing really answer calls overnight in Ottawa?
Published hours on the Google profile show 24 hours for all seven days, and the company advertises emergency repair around the clock on 343-500-1109. It also states that emergency work is priced at an upfront flat rate with no overtime charges. Confirm that when you call, and ask what the call-out covers before a technician is dispatched.
Do they work on private wells and water treatment?
Yes, well systems are a stated specialty. The service list includes well pump installation, well water testing for homes and businesses, pressure tanks, and complete water treatment solutions. That combination is useful if you are in Greely, Manotick, Carp or further out where municipal water does not reach.
What areas around Ottawa do they cover?
The company lists Nepean, Kanata, Orleans, Barrhaven, Stittsville, Manotick, Greely, Carp, Arnprior, Carleton Place, Rockland and Kemptville, plus the wider Ottawa area. If you are at the far edge of that list, ask about travel time and whether after-hours coverage extends that far.
How is Its Plumbing rated by customers?
The Google Business Profile shows 4.9 out of 5 from 84 reviews, read on September 27, 2026. That is a high average with enough reviews behind it to be meaningful. Worth reading the recent ones that match your job type, since drain excavation and water heater swaps are very different tests of a company.
Is the plumber licensed for gas work?
The company states that all work is carried out by a fully licensed plumber and gas fitter rather than an apprentice or handyman. The brief does not include licence numbers, so ask for them directly if your job involves a gas water heater, a gas line move or furnace work. Also ask for proof of liability insurance and WSIB coverage.
Is there a warranty on the work?
The website advertises a warranty on all plumbing services and a satisfaction guarantee, but does not publish the length or what it excludes. Ask for those terms to be written onto your estimate, and check separately what the manufacturer warranty is on any equipment being installed, since parts and labour are often covered for different periods.
Can larger jobs be paid over time?
A 0% interest payment plan is advertised for financing work. No lender, term length or approval criteria are given in the material available, so treat it as something to ask about rather than a confirmed offer, and read the agreement before signing.
Is Its Plumbing licensed and insured?
We have no credential records on file for this company yet. Ask for the certificate directly from the insurer before booking work.
What areas does Its Plumbing serve?
Ottawa, Nepean. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.
Does Its Plumbing offer emergency service?
Emergency availability is not listed for this company. If you need an urgent call-out, check the ranking for companies that do list it.
What warranty do they offer?
Warranty terms are not on file. Ask for them in writing before work starts.
