We hired Mike and his team to complete multiple projects to refresh our 30-year-old home. Sam and his team were the most efficient contractors I have ever seen. They were punctual, worked extremely hard, and completed the job ahead of schedule. Every day they left our home neat and clean. Everyone had thought the 2-week schedule for what we were having done was very aggressive, but the team completed it in 8 days and did an excellent job. Mike and Sam kept us informed throughout the project. We could not be happier with the results. I’ve raved to family and friends about the work that they did and will not hesitate to recommend them in the future.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely the best of the best!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about M & D Buildings. We received several quotes for our extensive renovation and while M & D’s pricing was very reasonable, it was Mike who ultimately made us feel that this was the right company for us. From our very first meeting, Mike was knowledgeable, understanding, thorough and kind. He listened carefully to what we wanted, offered thoughtful advice and always made us feel that our home was in the very best hands.

The scope of our renovation was extensive. Walls were removed and straightened, popcorn ceilings were taken down, our old fireplace was removed and a new one installed and we had a completely new kitchen, dining room built in, wet bar built in, new hardwood floors, pot lights, painting throughout the entire house and new doors. It was a huge project, particularly in an older home and we could not be happier with the result.

The quality of the craftsmanship was absolutely outstanding. The crew, led by Michael, was professional, skilled, friendly, respectful and incredibly clean. They took great pride in their work and treated our home as if it were their own.

One thing that stood out to us throughout the entire renovation was the communication. We did not live in the house during the project, yet we communicated with Mike almost every day. We were always kept informed about the progress, upcoming work and any decisions that needed to be made. Whenever an issue arose. as can happen with any older home, Mike approached it calmly, honestly and professionally and worked with us to find the best solution.

Our project was completed on time and on budget. The only increases to the original cost were the result of changes we chose to make or unforeseen issues that came up because of the age of the house. There were absolutely no surprises or concerns about the way the project was managed.

We have already highly recommended M & D Buildings to our family and friends and we will continue to do so with complete confidence and conviction. Finding a contractor you can genuinely trust with a major renovation is not easy and we feel incredibly fortunate that we found Mike and his team.

We look forward to working with Mike and his exceptional crew again in the future. Thank you for everything, Mike! You and your team were truly outstanding. We could not be happier with our beautiful new home! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is our second major renovation working with MD builders, this time it was a full house Reno basement to second floor. New stairs, flooring, I will add more pictures later to this review.
For us hiring MD buildings a second time meant simply having peace of mind. Their work ethic and communication level is amazing. Not only with us but between Mike, his manager Michael and the rest of their team. They helped us monitor the roofing company as well and caught an issue that would have been very damaging for the house if it had gone unnoticed. They give you a schedule and actually follow it. If you are looking for honest, hardworking people with excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail call them.

I recently had my main bathroom renovated by M & D Builders, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I chose to keep the original layout, and the team completely refreshed the space with new fixtures, a modern vanity, a new toilet, a tub/shower combo, updated flooring, improved lighting, and beautiful new wall finishes.
The project started right on schedule and was actually completed earlier than expected, which was a welcome and much‑appreciated surprise. Mike and his crew delivered excellent workmanship throughout the entire process. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality truly show in the final result.
I’m thrilled with how everything turned out and highly recommend Mike and his team at M & D Builders for anyone considering a bathroom renovation.

We used MD builders on two occasions. First with a full basement reno then the main floor. The project included moving walls, bathrooms, and redoing the kitchen. The quality of workmanship is exceptional. Mike and his crew showed up every day, on time. The site was left, clean and tidy at the end of each day. They worked with us to ensure that at the end of the project we were completely satisfied and happy. Whenever we had issues with timeline due to delays that were not in their control they worked around them. They also worked well with other teams who had to come in. All projects were completely on time. If there were any delays, it was not because of MD builders. Mike and his teammates were a pleasure to work with and we would highly recommend them.

Fantastic job! Great attention to detail. They were right on schedule which we really appreciated as we were renovating our only bathroom! We had communication throughout the project on next steps and to confirm how we wanted things so we knew what was happening. There were a few structural surprises due to how the house was built but we worked it out and the project turns out beautiful!

Company Background

About M & D Buildings

M & D Buildings operates from 5910 Greensboro Drive in Erin Mills, a part of Mississauga with many mid-sized family homes from the 1990s and 2000s that are now due for kitchen, bathroom and basement updates. The company positions itself as a general contractor with an engineering and contracting side, and its website lists architectural design, general contracting, new builds and additions, kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, basement remodeling, laminated beam work, building permit management and project management.

That range matters if your project needs more than finishes. Taking out a wall, extending a rear room or opening a basement usually needs drawings and a building permit from the City of Mississauga, and M & D Buildings says it handles the permit process as part of the job. The website states that the company is a registered member of WSIB, that it is fully insured, and that it belongs to several industry organizations. Those organizations are shown only as logos, so ask which ones and for the membership details.

The review record is solid. M & D Buildings holds 4.9 stars from 87 Google reviews, read 2026-10-30. Google hours run Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with Sunday closed.

A fair concern is that the site also sells commercial contracting and does not name its owners, show a founding year or publish a licence number. The about page is general, so the project gallery and the Google reviews carry most of the evidence.

M & D Buildings suits Mississauga homeowners planning an addition or a layered project that needs design, permits and construction managed together. It suits less well someone who wants a quick, small repair.

Before booking, ask for a written quote with allowances, who pulls the building permit, proof of WSIB clearance and liability insurance, and the warranty terms in writing.
