- Colin Do5.0My kitchen drain got completely clogged. I spent two days in the crawl space trying different methods and chemicals, but nothing worked. Paul and his wife came over to help, and he was able to clear the drain in about 20 minutes. On top of that, Paul improved the existing kitchen sink piping to make it much easier to service in the future, and he did that at no extra charge. I really appreciate his service and the fact that he runs a local business rather than a big company charging by the hour. Great service, fair approach, and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend. - Rene Anthony Quiaoit3.0I had a hot water tank that was leaking replaced with a tankless, and they came in quickly and replaced it one day. They even unclogged a drain while they were at it, and worked past 5:00 PM to get it all done. However, they damaged my basement the stairs removing the old hot water tank by using their trolley dragging and rubbing up against the nosing. Too bad, that will be a costly repair on my end.April 2026Google

About Proflow Plumbing Heating Gas
Proflow Plumbing Heating Gas is a small company based on East 32nd Avenue in east Vancouver. It says it has been providing plumbing, drainage, gas, heating and air conditioning services for about 15 years, and it has 151 Google reviews at a 4.9 average as of September 24, 2026.
On the heating side, Proflow installs and repairs furnaces and boilers and installs, repairs and maintains air conditioning. It also does gas fitting, water heaters, tankless units, plumbing repairs and drain cleaning, and it serves Vancouver and the wider Lower Mainland. The company advertises 24/7 emergency service and says it is licensed and insured. It says it is a member of the FortisBC Trade Ally Network. It does not publish a Technical Safety BC gas contractor licence number, so ask for one before gas work.
This is the smallest operation on the list, and the reviews read that way. Nearly every one names Paul, and many come from repeat customers who have called him for their own homes, family members' homes and clients' properties. Reviewers describe him answering on holidays and treating emergencies as urgent, and several say his rates are fair and transparent, without inflated fees or three-hour minimums. One customer described him arriving quickly during an apartment flood, clearing the water and rerouting the pipe so it would not happen again.
One recent three-star review is worth reading before a big job. The customer was happy that a leaking tank was replaced with a tankless unit in one day, but said the crew damaged basement stairs while removing the old tank. Ask how old equipment will be taken out and who is responsible for any damage.
Proflow suits east side homeowners who want a trusted tradesperson for ongoing plumbing, gas and heating work at fair rates. A small team also means limited capacity in busy weeks, and the company does not list heat pump installation as a core service, so for a heat pump go to a specialist higher on this list.

Proflow Plumbing Heating Gas FAQs
Does Proflow offer emergency plumbing and heating service?
Yes. Proflow advertises 24/7 emergency service, and reviewers describe Paul responding on holidays and during a flood.
Does Proflow charge a minimum number of hours?
Reviewers say Proflow does not charge three-hour minimums and gives straightforward quotes. Confirm the rate when you book.
Does Proflow install heat pumps?
Proflow lists furnace, boiler and air conditioning work, but heat pump installation is not one of its main listed services. Ask before booking, or choose a heat pump specialist.
Is Proflow Plumbing Heating Gas licensed and insured?
We checked 0 of 1 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.
What areas does Proflow Plumbing Heating Gas serve?
Vancouver. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.

Ask for written warranty terms on equipment and labor.. There are usually two warranties on a job: the manufacturer covers materials, the contractor covers workmanship. Get both in writing and check whether the workmanship coverage transfers if you sell.
