During a brutal heatwave with temperatures nearing 100°F, our nearly 80-year-old mother-in-law was left to suffer in a sweltering home for an entire week—all because of Same Day Heating Cooling Plumbing. When their technician, Christopher Gomez, came out to service her broken AC, he quoted her an astronomical $5,000 for a new compressor, claiming she might even need to replace the entire unit for $10,000 or more. Taking advantage of an elderly woman facing dangerous heat is completely unconscionable. Thankfully, we sought a second opinion from an honest, ethical company, ASI. They immediately diagnosed the actual issue: a broken fuse that cost less than $100 to fix. Because of Same Day's money-hungry tactics and blatant attempt to scam an elderly woman, our mother-in-law had to endure unbearable 90+ degree indoor heat for seven days. "Same Day" should be renamed "Same Scammers." Please, save your family the stress, financial ruin, and danger. Do not use Same Day. Instead, I highly suggest ASI—they are a BBB-accredited business that was just nominated for the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics.
