Our Take on Stable Temp HVAC
A Nest Pro certification and work with whole-house fans and air quality systems is a specific enough specialty that it reads as genuine rather than a keyword grab. Stable Temp looks like a shop worth calling if the job is more than a straight repair.

- Brian Buel5.0Stable Temp installed our new furnace two years ago and added central air conditioning this summer (2026). In both cases, they did an exceptional job. Their workers are professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable and their prices are some of the most competitive in San Diego. I've recommended them to three friends and relatives who all are very pleased with the service they received.September 2026Google

- Sam DeFord5.0As always Vlad and the team are absolutely the best. Communication is first rate, they show up on time, execute flawlessly and do it for a reasonable price. I have used them several time and they have never failed to delight!August 2026Google

- Monica Tsao5.0Excellent experience. Vlad and his team showed up when they said they would and worked during the heat wave to fully replace our HVAC system, ducts, move equipment from the garage to the attic, and set up dual zones. It was a ton of work and they worked late into the evenings to make sure the work was completed in the scheduled two days. The work was completed on time and the team was super friendly, respectful, and cleaned up after themselves. Really appreciate their attention to detail and thankful that we are getting cool air flow in the house now and that we are not left with any to-dos after the job was done. Would recommend and be happy to work with this team again.August 2026Google

About Stable Temp HVAC
Stable Temp HVAC operates under the legal name 5-Star Mechanical Inc. out of a Morena Boulevard office in San Diego, and it's held California contractor license 1157122 since opening in 2018. The company carries a 4.9 star average across 369 Google reviews as of September 23, 2026, a smaller review count than the biggest names in this ranking but a consistent rating.
What sets Stable Temp apart on paper is its Nest Pro certification and its work with QuietCool whole-house fans and AprilAire air quality products, three specialties that don't show up on every San Diego HVAC company's site. That combination suggests a shop comfortable going beyond a straight system swap into smart-home integration and indoor air quality upgrades, which is worth knowing if that's part of what you're after. The company is licensed, insured and bonded, and its technicians hold EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
Financing is available through a dedicated page on the company site, though specific terms aren't listed publicly, and estimates involve a walk-through of the home before a quote is given rather than a phone-only number. Hours run 7 AM to 9 PM Monday through Friday and 8 AM to 6 PM Saturday, with the shop closed on Sundays, so this isn't a round-the-clock emergency operation in the way some larger competitors are.
Stable Temp fits homeowners upgrading to a Nest thermostat or looking at whole-house ventilation alongside standard AC or furnace work, and who don't need Sunday availability. It suits less well anyone with a Sunday emergency, since the shop is closed that day, and anyone wanting a large company with multiple office locations. Before booking, ask for the specific financing terms in writing and confirm current warranty coverage, since neither is detailed on the public site.
