They completed the work to expectations and offered to complete extra work to help reinforce the repair that wasn't part of the original qoute but was recommended. It was well priced and we appreciated the extra work. They were punctual, friendly to deal with and gave a "neighbor" discount. Would recommend them for your needs and we will be calling them back for future work. Thanks

We hired Wizard Crack Repair a year ago to take care of basement floor issues (cracks, efflorescence). We had them visit to look at the problems and propose solutions to us that were aimed at solving the problem without just covering it temporarily. The problem was identified as a moisture issue with water under the basement concrete slab and the proposed solutions was a sump pump, a weeping tile and fixing the cracks with epoxy/floor self leveller. The first time Remy and his team came out they did all the fixes they suggested, they also checked all the walls for possible foundation cracks and sealed spots with possible moisture intrusion. They also extended all the spouts around the house to drain further away from the foundation. The team was always friendly and left with everything tidied up and we were happy with the result. Unfortunately, the fixed cracks didnt hold up for long, after only a few months we had efflorescence, slight spalling and some cracks resurface which we called Wizard about to come by and fix it under the warranty. It appeared that the same solution was applied, the spots were cleaned out and more epoxy/floor leveler was applied. A few months later and yet again we had the same problems resurface, so we called again in hopes there would be alternative solutions to not have to deal with these same issues every few months. They came by again and this time poured a large area of self leveller, which to no surprise, starts cracking again, with visible signs of efflorescence in multiple areas. On top of that, the floor leveller that was applied is uneven across the floor and is terribly discoloured as can be seen in the attached images. We are at a loss as all we wanted was to have the problems resolved. Our hope was that when the original solution failed, the problem wouldnt just be covered over and over again and instead other options would be looked at. As much as we appreciated all the work Remy and his team have done for us, we unfortunately cannot say that they fixed our problem.

Very kind and personable staff with great communication. Their prices are extremely competitive. They solved our issue perfectly. Our final bill turned out to be only 1/3 of the original estimate which was an immensely pleasant surprise (since they could fix it from the inside). We are very pleased, and whole-heartedly recommend them to everyone.

I’m very happy with my experience with Wizard Crack Repair and would highly recommend them. From beginning to end, the whole process was handled professionally. During the repair, they explained each step to me clearly and in detail, which made me feel very comfortable and confident about the work being done. The two gentlemen who completed the repair were both very nice, professional, and respectful. They worked carefully and provided excellent service. I especially appreciated Remy taking the time after the work was completed to walk around my house with me and point out a few other areas that may need attention in the future. He explained what should be repaired to help prevent water from getting in and potentially making the existing wall cracks worse. I found his advice very helpful and appreciated that he took the extra time to explain everything to me. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the quality of the work and the service I received. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, helpful, and professional. Thank you to the entire team for such a great experience!

Wizard Crack Repair Ltd FAQs

• Is Wizard Crack Repair Ltd licensed in Calgary?

Alberta has no trade-specific waterproofing contractor licence, so none can be shown for Wizard Crack Repair Ltd. The company's website says it is licensed and insured but publishes no numbers. Check the business licence through the City of Calgary lookup, ask about permits through Alberta Safety Codes, and confirm the company with Alberta Consumer Protection business licensing before you sign.

• Is Wizard Crack Repair Ltd open 24 hours for emergency leaks?

Yes, according to Google and the company's website, which both list the business as open 24 hours, seven days a week with an emergency line. A reviewer described calling after an hour of basement flooding and getting a calm response. Confirm the arrival time when you call, since a 24 hour phone line is not the same as a crew on site.

• What warranty and service area does Wizard Crack Repair Ltd offer?

The website states a lifetime warranty on repairs, meaning a repeat leak is fixed at no charge, and free on-site estimates. It serves Calgary plus Airdrie, Okotoks, Cochrane, Chestermere, High River, Strathmore, Langdon, Crossfield, Carstairs, Canmore and Banff. No financing is mentioned, and you should ask for the warranty wording in writing and whether it transfers to a new owner.

• Is Wizard Crack Repair Ltd licensed and insured?

We checked 0 of 2 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.

• What areas does Wizard Crack Repair Ltd serve?

Calgary. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.

• Does Wizard Crack Repair Ltd offer emergency service?

Yes, the company lists emergency availability. Response time depends on demand, and after a storm every company in the market is stretched.

• What warranty do they offer?

Lifetime warranty on repairs per the company website: a repeat leak is fixed at no charge. Written terms and transferability not published.. There are usually two warranties on a job: the manufacturer covers materials, the contractor covers workmanship. Get both in writing and check whether the workmanship coverage transfers if you sell.

• How was this profile built?

Credentials come from issuing authorities, ratings from the company's Google Business Profile with the date we read them, and the editorial take from our own review of estimates, warranty documents and public feedback. Anything the business told us is labelled as reported.

• Can a business pay to improve its profile?

A business can subscribe to manage its own listing details, and it can buy a labelled sponsored placement. Neither changes a ranking position or the editorial assessment on this page.
