Based off Melissa Oaks Lane in southeast Austin, this outfit handles the full residential and light commercial range: drain cleaning, slab leak repair, gas line work, water heater and tankless installation, sewer camera inspection, and whole house repiping. Published hours list the phone as answered 24 hours a day, every day, and the company markets emergency call-outs as a core part of what it does rather than an add-on. Service pages cover Buda, Cedar Park, Del Valle, Georgetown, Leander, Manchaca, Manor, Pflugerville and Round Rock alongside Austin proper. Its Google Business Profile showed a 5.0 rating from 315 reviews when read on September 4, 2026, which is a substantial volume at that score. The company also advertises free estimates, upfront pricing and promotional financing on larger jobs. A reasonable fit for homeowners facing a leak under a slab, a failed heater at an awkward hour, or a repipe they need spread over payments.

Our Take on Austin's Greatest Plumbing

A 5.0 average across 315 Google reviews is a strong signal, and the service list is broader than most residential plumbers in the metro, particularly the pump work. We would still push for the specifics on after-hours pricing and the terms of that satisfaction guarantee before the truck arrives. For slab leaks and repipes in south and east Austin, this is a reasonable name to have on the shortlist.

Best for: slab leaks, repipes and after-hours emergencies across Austin and its suburbs

  • Karmela Ignacio5.0I wanted to post this review as quickly as Austin’s Greatest Plumbing came to our rescue! This past Sunday, we discovered a major leak in our main water line that was spilling approximately 12 gallons per minute. Austin Water had to shut off our water that night, leaving our family of five without water over Labor Day weekend. I searched for highly rated plumbers in our area who specialize in underground water line leaks, and Austin’s Greatest Plumbing came up at the top of the list with 5-star reviews. I called first thing on Labor Day, and while other companies weren’t available until the following day, Austin’s Greatest Plumbing responded right away and sent Romie to assess the situation and provide an estimate. Romie was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and very informative. I still did my due diligence and contacted another highly rated plumber for a second opinion. Both companies were responsive, their assessments were consistent, and their estimates were very similar. Ultimately, we chose Austin’s Greatest Plumbing because they stood behind their work with a 3-year warranty on both materials and labor, compared with only one year from the other company. When it was time for the repair, Brian was just as friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He excavated the area, showed me exactly where the problem was, and took the time to explain what had happened and how they were repairing it. The builder, DR Horton cut the pvc too short and did not put a primer on the connection which failed overtime. They replaced it with a better quality PEX. The work was completed efficiently, and they even waived the fee to replace our pressure regulator since it made sense to take care of it while the repair was being done. Most importantly, they restored water to our home. After being without water as a family of five, that meant so much to us. Romie and Brian were truly our heroes today! We couldn’t be more thankful for their responsiveness, professionalism, transparency, and quality of service. I would absolutely recommend Austin’s Greatest Plumbing to anyone dealing with a plumbing emergency. They truly lived up to their name — Austin’s Greatest Plumbers!September 2026Google
  • Burrell Williams5.0Having a plumbing leak in its self is stressful along but, when you have a team Bryan and Ezoren from Austin's Grestest Plumbing the problem is much easier to face. About Austin's Greatest Plumbing

Plumbing in this part of Texas is largely a story about slabs, clay soil and water that leaves a mark. Most Austin homes built from the 1960s onward sit on a post-tension or conventional slab, with supply lines running underneath. When one of those lines fails, you get a warm spot on the floor, an unexplained water bill, or the sound of running water with every tap closed. Fixing it means either tunnelling under the slab, breaking through the concrete, or abandoning the line and rerouting overhead through the attic. Austins Greatest Plumbing lists slab leak repair, underground yard line leak repair and whole house repiping among its services, which covers all three approaches, and it is worth asking which one a plumber is proposing and why before any concrete gets cut.

The service list is broad for a company of this apparent size. Drain cleaning and sewer work, video camera inspection, toilet and fixture installation, garbage disposals, gas line installation and leak repair, tankless and conventional water heaters, plus a full set of pump services covering sump, grinder, booster and lift station equipment. That pump range is not something every residential plumber carries. It points toward properties on septic or low-lying lots in Del Valle, Manor and the eastern edges of Travis County, where a grinder or lift station handles what gravity will not.

Availability is the other pillar. Hours are published as 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the company describes emergency response as a standing offer rather than a reluctant favour. That matters in a market where the January 2021 and February 2023 freezes taught a lot of Austin homeowners what a burst hose bibb or a split attic line does to drywall. If you are calling at two in the morning, ask directly whether after-hours carries a premium and what the diagnostic or trip charge is. The website advertises free estimates and upfront pricing with no hidden fees, which is a claim worth holding them to on the phone before a truck rolls.

On reputation, the numbers are unusually clean. The Google Business Profile showed a 5.0 rating from 315 reviews when read on September 4, 2026. Three hundred plus reviews without a single visible dip is rare, and while it suggests consistent work and diligent review requests, it also means there is little critical feedback to read for balance. Cross-checking the Yelp listing, which is filed under Cedar Park, gives you a second set of voices. The company also states more than thirty years of experience and a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee, though the profile does not spell out what that guarantee covers or for how long, so pin that down in writing.

Who this suits: homeowners across Austin and the surrounding growth corridor who want one company for both the small stuff and the disruptive stuff. Someone with a rocking toilet and someone facing a full copper-to-PEX repipe are both inside the range. The financing offer, described as promotional and applied for through the company, is aimed squarely at the second group, because repipes and sewer line replacements routinely run into five figures once permits, restoration and landscaping are counted. Who it may suit less: anyone wanting a large in-house crew for new construction phases, or a buyer who prefers a fixed published price list rather than an on-site quote.

A few practical questions before you book. Ask for the licence number of the responsible master plumber, since Texas regulates the trade through the state board and you can verify it in a minute. Ask whether the work needs a permit, which it usually does for water heaters, gas lines, repipes and sewer replacement in the City of Austin, and whether the company pulls it. Ask what warranty applies to labour separately from the manufacturer warranty on parts. For any sewer diagnosis, ask to see the camera footage yourself rather than take a verbal summary, particularly on older lines in Travis Heights, Hyde Park or Rosedale where cast iron and clay tile are still in the ground.

Compared with the national franchises operating here, Austins Greatest Plumbing presents as a locally run alternative with the same round-the-clock coverage and a comparable service menu. Compared with a one-truck independent, it carries a wider equipment list and a much larger review record. The trade-off, as always, is that you will not always know in advance which technician arrives.

Austin's Greatest Plumbing FAQs

  • Does Austins Greatest Plumbing really answer the phone at night?

Published hours list the business as open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and emergency work is presented as a core service rather than an exception. Before agreeing to a call-out, ask what the after-hours diagnostic or trip charge is and whether labour rates differ from daytime, since most plumbers price nights and weekends higher.

  • What areas does the company cover outside Austin?

Its website lists dedicated service pages for Buda, Cedar Park, Del Valle, Georgetown, Leander, Manchaca, Manor, Pflugerville and Round Rock in addition to Austin. The registered address is on Melissa Oaks Lane in southeast Austin, and the Yelp listing is filed under Cedar Park, so coverage appears to run across both sides of the metro.

  • How do I know if I have a slab leak?

Common signs are a sudden jump in the water bill, a warm patch on the floor, the sound of running water when everything is off, or unexplained damp in flooring. In Austin, where most homes after the 1960s sit on slabs over expansive clay, these leaks are common. Repair usually means tunnelling under the slab, breaking through it, or rerouting the line overhead, and the company lists slab leak repair and repiping among its services.

  • What is its Google rating?

Its Google Business Profile showed a 5.0 rating from 315 reviews when read on September 4, 2026. That is a high volume for a perfect score. Because there is almost no critical feedback in that record, it is worth reading the Yelp listing as well for a second perspective.

  • Can I finance a repipe or sewer line replacement?

The company advertises promotional financing through an application on its website, aimed at larger purchases. It does not publish the rate, term or lender, so ask for those details in writing before committing. Repipes and sewer replacements in Austin frequently run into five figures once permits and restoration are included, which is why financing is offered at all.

  • Do plumbing jobs in Austin need a permit?

Often, yes. The City of Austin generally requires permits for water heater replacement, gas line work, repipes and sewer line replacement, and permitted work is inspected. Ask whether the company pulls the permit as part of the quote and whether the price includes inspection. Also ask for the master plumber licence number, which you can verify with the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners.

  • Does it handle commercial work?

The company describes experience with both residential and commercial clients, and its pump services list includes lift station repair, which is more common on commercial and multi-unit sites than in single family homes. For a larger facility, ask about crew size and scheduling availability before booking.

  • Is Austin's Greatest Plumbing licensed and insured?

We have no credential records on file for this company yet. Ask for the certificate directly from the insurer before booking work.

  • What areas does Austin's Greatest Plumbing serve?

Austin. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.

  • Does Austin's Greatest Plumbing offer emergency service?

Yes, the company lists emergency availability. Response time depends on demand, and after a storm every company in the market is stretched.

  • What warranty do they offer?

100% satisfaction guarantee on every job. There are usually two warranties on a job: the manufacturer covers materials, the contractor covers workmanship. Get both in writing and check whether the workmanship coverage transfers if you sell.

  • How was this profile built?

Credentials come from issuing authorities, ratings from the company's Google Business Profile with the date we read them, and the editorial take from our own review of estimates, warranty documents and public feedback. Anything the business told us is labelled as reported.

  • Can a business pay to improve its profile?

A business can subscribe to manage its own listing details, and it can buy a labelled sponsored placement. Neither changes a ranking position or the editorial assessment on this page.
