Company Background
About Calgary Garage Door Fix
Husband and wife Stan and Marta Klugman started Calgary Garage Door Fix in 2019 with one van, and the company now reports 32,000 completed jobs on its own website. Stan spent years in the garage door trade before launching, by the company's account, and Marta still reads every customer review. The business works from a warehouse at 3953 112 Ave SE #119 in East Shepard Industrial, in Calgary's southeast, which it moved into on June 1, 2026. Dispatch is by phone, so call before driving over.
The company handles spring and cable replacement, opener repair and installation, sensors, rollers and hinges, weatherstripping, bottom seals, maintenance and new door installation. New doors come from Northland, Amarr and Steel-Craft, plus Ryterna, which the company says it is the only authorized Canadian dealer for. Repairs cover LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Wayne Dalton, Garaga, C.H.I. and other brands, and it recommends Sommer openers for upgrades. Prices are posted on the site, with a pair of torsion springs listed at $380 to $480 plus GST, and the company says it charges no emergency or travel fees. It lists service in all four quadrants plus Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere and Okotoks.
Reviews back that up. Customers name Artem for laying out options and pricing before starting and lubricating the moving parts, Yurii for arriving within hours on a Labour Day Sunday with no call-out fee, Vadym for a tension spring repair, and Yuli for replacing a spring and cables after a previous company had not fixed the problem. Calgary Garage Door Fix holds 5.0 from 2,879 Google reviews, read October 24, 2026. The company states it is BBB accredited, a Canadian Door Institute member since 2020, insured and WCB-covered, and the holder of a registered trademark. It also states a two-time Consumer Choice Award, which we have not independently confirmed.
It suits homeowners with a broken spring, cable or opener who want a price before a truck is dispatched, and anyone shopping for a Ryterna door. It suits less well anyone who wants a walk-in counter, or buyers who need financing, which the site does not mention. Before booking, ask for a written quote, the spring cycle rating and the warranty in writing. Alberta does not license garage door contractors provincially, so confirm the business with the City of Calgary business licence lookup, the Alberta Corporate Registry, and a WCB Alberta clearance letter.
