Editorial Review

Our Take on Mr Garage Doors of Canada Inc. Calgary Door Centre

The Door Centre address on 53 Ave SE is a real working shop, and the review record is both strong and recent, with several 5-star reviews describing visits within two hours. The weak spot is the website, which shares one template across four cities and publishes little about the Calgary crew or its pricing. Ask for the warranty in writing, since two pages of the site state different terms.

Great Experience with Mr. Garage! From start to finish, our experience was excellent. Communication throughout the process was great, with prompt responses to our emails and questions. The team was professional, helpful, and easy to deal with. The installer (George) was top-notch, completing the work efficiently, professionally, and in a timely manner. The workmanship was outstanding, and the pricing was reasonable. I would highly recommend Mr. Garage to anyone looking for a new garage door. One helpful tip: custom colours may take approximately 4–6 weeks, although our door arrived in about 7 weeks. If you’re not in a hurry, I’d recommend waiting for the colour you really want. It’s worth the wait to get exactly the look you’re after!

This team is really amazing to work with. My 20+ year garage door finally fell apart and I just run into Mr. Garage Door on Google Map. They showed urgency and immediately sent someone to fix it while we look for a replacement. We found their price to be very reasonable. When the replacement door arrived, we screwed up on the scheduling but Mr. Garage extended their help again and was flexible to send Gabriel to install in the afternoon. He was very easy to talk to and very professional. As Gabriel was done, the old overhead then broke. Good thing, Gabriel had a spare 2220L and installed it instantly as well. Now, we have a new, functioning, very quiet, modern looking garage, and we can't thank Mr. Garage Doors enough for taking care of us. We highly recommend them as we know they will extend that same care to any customer!

I discovered my car had somehow driven into my garage door this morning. The door was badly damaged. I called Mr Garage Door and they came over in 30 minutes. They gave me an estimate and from that time it was up and running with in four hours. Great job at a decent price. Highly recommend this business

Company Background

About Mr Garage Doors of Canada Inc. Calgary Door Centre

Mr Garage Doors of Canada Inc. Calgary Door Centre operates from 414A 53 Ave SE, a shop and door centre in the Manchester Industrial area just south of downtown, close to Ogden, Inglewood, Acadia and the rest of southeast Calgary. Google lists it as open 24 hours, seven days a week, and the company website offers emergency repair for stuck doors, snapped springs and doors off their tracks. The company is part of a Western Canada group that also runs locations in Edmonton, Airdrie and Winnipeg, and its site says it has served customers for more than two decades.

The services are the core ones. Technicians replace torsion and extension springs and lifting cables, repair and replace openers including smart models, tune up doors with a 25 point checklist, and install new doors. The website mentions Amarr and CHI door styles, and its portfolio shows insulated, windowed and wood-look steel doors. A GarageCare+ yearly maintenance plan and a Garage Easy Pay Plan for financing are listed, though the site gives no prices or terms for either.

The reviews carry most of the weight. Gabriel replaced springs and cables for one customer within two hours of the call. Zayne fixed a broken torsion spring for another, then explained how to look after the door. A Sunday reviewer got an afternoon appointment after a bracket sheared on Saturday night, and the technician arrived 15 minutes early and swapped fatigued rollers. Customers use words like honest, fair price and no upsell. 4.9 from 121 Google reviews, read October 24, 2026.

Expect a few gaps. The website shares a template across all four cities, names no Calgary team members and lists a different postal code for the Door Centre than Google does. It states a three-year workmanship guarantee on the About page and a two-year warranty on another page.

Mr Garage Doors of Canada Inc. Calgary Door Centre suits homeowners with a broken spring, cable or opener who want a fast visit and a clear price before work starts. It suits less well anyone who wants a named contractor, published price lists or a long design consultation. Before booking, ask for a written quote, the spring cycle rating, the warranty terms in writing, and confirm the business with the City of Calgary business licence lookup, the Alberta Corporate Registry and a WCB Alberta clearance letter, because Alberta does not license garage door contractors provincially.
