About Halifax Plumbing & Heating
Halifax Plumbing & Heating runs its trucks out of a unit at 24 Simmonds Drive in Burnside Park, on the Dartmouth side of the harbour. The website says the team brings more than 15 years of experience, and Google shows 134 reviews at a 4.8 average, read September 24, 2026.
The service list is broader than the name suggests. Alongside everyday plumbing, toilets and hot water tanks, the company installs, repairs and maintains boilers, does hydro jetting for stubborn drains, installs water softeners, and works on wells and well pressure tanks, which matters in the parts of HRM that are not on municipal water. It also takes commercial and restaurant plumbing. Halifax Plumbing & Heating offers 24/7 emergency service, and Google lists it as open 24 hours. The website does not publish warranty terms, financing, owner names or certification numbers.
Reviewers keep naming James. Craig had trouble with a MonoDrive constant pressure system late on a Friday, and said James talked him through it by phone for free even though it was well after hours. Levi was adding a second toilet to an old house with tight joist space and said James worked through several plans with him until one fit. Lucianna had next-day service with no hidden fees, and Andrew called the drain line repair quick and reasonably priced.
Halifax Plumbing & Heating suits a homeowner in Dartmouth, Bedford or Sackville with a boiler, a well system or an urgent after-hours problem. It suits less well someone who wants written warranty terms before calling. Ask for the plumber's Nova Scotia certificate of qualification, get warranty terms in writing, and confirm who pulls the Halifax Regional Municipality plumbing permit.
