About Hydronix Plumbing & Heating
Hydronix Plumbing & Heating is the kind of company where the owner is the person who shows up. Nick has spent more than 20 years in the pipe trades, much of it working across Canada, and went full-time with Hydronix in 2023. The shop is at 60 Raddall Avenue in Burnside, and Google shows a perfect 5.0 from 58 reviews, read September 24, 2026.
The service list covers emergency plumbing, repairs and service calls, drain cleaning, water treatment, bathroom and kitchen renovation plumbing, hot water tank installation and replacement, boiler repair and maintenance, sump and well pumps and light commercial work. Photos on Google show hydronic manifolds, electric boilers and a radiant snow-melt installation, so heating is a real part of the business. Hydronix serves Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Fall River, Porters Lake, Cole Harbour, Eastern Passage and nearby communities. Google lists it as open 24 hours, and one reviewer describes a weekend emergency visit, though the website does not advertise a formal 24/7 service. Warranty terms and certification numbers are not published.
The reviews are all about Nick. Kyle called him knowledgeable, honest and fair and said he explained things properly. James said he did a great job swapping a hot water tank. A homeowner dealing with a heating problem during a freeze said Nick helped figure out what was wrong and would be the one he called if the pipes needed work. Thomas, preparing a client's property for sale, had Nick install a backwater valve ahead of schedule and leave the area cleaner than he found it.
Hydronix suits a Dartmouth or Halifax homeowner who wants to deal directly with an experienced owner, especially for boilers, in-floor heat or a water heater. It suits less well someone who needs a big crew or a long company history, since it is a young business. Ask for the Nova Scotia certificate of qualification, get warranty terms in writing, and confirm who pulls the HRM plumbing permit.
