Quick Overview

iHow this is made

This summary is generated from the verified data on this profile: services, service area, credentials, warranty terms and the company's Google review record. It is reviewed by an editor before publishing and refreshed whenever the underlying data changes. Nothing here is asserted that is not stated elsewhere on this page.

Editorial Standards

JP Lucky Construction And Roofing is a family-owned contractor on Lansdowne Avenue, near Bloor and Dufferin, that says it has been working since 2000. Its services page lists custom homes, home additions and extensions, home remodeling, demolition, excavation, foundations, drainage and concrete, carpentry and framing, and a separate roofing division. That makes it a builder first and a finish-trade remodeler second, so it fits structural and exterior projects best. Google shows 4.9 stars from 148 reviews, read 2026-10-30, the largest review count in this ranking. The business listing is open around the clock on Google.

  • Best for structural work: additions, extensions, framing and foundations
  • Family-owned and established in 2000, per the company website
  • Heavier on construction and roofing than on interior finish packages

JP and Lucky Construction added a new roof to one of our neighbours and we were very impressed with their work and professionalism throughout the project. Our roof needed repair and replacement of shingles and vents in the attic and we decided to go with JP. The workers came and worked efficiently on our job. We are very happy with the outcome. JP offers excellent work and competitive pricing. Communication with Wendy to ask questions, arrange times and payment were also easy to do. Thank you and we will be recommending your company to friends and family! 😊

JP Lucky Constitution replaced the roof of my home. The work was done with a day! Wendy and the rest of her staff were very professional, they did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves, and the final result is amazing! Since then several of my neighbours complimented me on the new roof and how good it looks. I would happily recommend this company without hesitation.

Company Background

About JP Lucky Construction And Roofing

JP Lucky Construction And Roofing is a family-owned Toronto contractor at 582 Lansdowne Avenue, in the Davenport and Dovercourt area. The company says it was established in 2000 and describes itself as a custom home builder in the Greater Toronto Area with experience on residential, commercial and municipal projects.

The services page is broad. It names custom home building, home additions and extensions, home remodeling, demolition, excavation, house foundations, drainage and concrete, custom carpentry and framing, steel supplies and a roofing practice with its own page. For a remodeling ranking the important point is that the strength here is structure: second-storey and rear additions, underpinning-type foundation work, framing and exterior envelope, rather than a boutique kitchen and bathroom finish business. Homeowners who want a lead contractor for a larger build, with excavation and foundations done by the same company, are the natural audience.

Google shows 4.9 stars from 148 reviews, read 2026-10-30, which is the biggest review base of any contractor in this ranking. The website also links its HomeStars profile. The listing shows the office open 24 hours every day, which most likely reflects the phone line rather than a staffed counter, so book a time to meet. The company does not name its owners or team on the pages we read.

JP Lucky suits people planning an addition, a rebuild, a foundation or framing project, and those who also need roofing work done by the same firm. It suits less well anyone who wants a designer-led interior package for a single bathroom or kitchen, because that is not how the company presents itself.

Before booking, ask for an itemized written quote, which trades are in-house and which are subcontracted, the warranty in writing, current WSIB clearance and liability insurance, and who pulls the building permit. Ontario has no provincial licence for renovation contractors, so check the permit status with the City of Toronto and use Tarion only if the job is a new home.
