We hired Robert and his team for a full main-floor renovation that included a complete kitchen remodel, new flooring, stairs, popcorn removal and electrical work. We’re very happy with how everything turned out. Robert and his team were flexible throughout the project, easy to work with, and the quality of the work was great. Renovations always come with little changes and decisions along the way, and I really appreciated how accommodating and responsive they were throughout the process. Most importantly, the project stayed on schedule, which was a big plus for us. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend Robert and his team.

Company Background

About RM Renovation

RM Renovation works out of unit 215 at 9 Crown Hill Place in Etobicoke, a short drive from Mimico and the Queensway, and serves Toronto and the wider GTA. The company says it has spent more than 20 years building and renovating homes, and its site lists home additions, kitchen and bathroom renovations, condo renovations, painting and custom home builds.

What sets RM apart on paper is how much of the process it says it manages itself. Its pages describe architectural drawings, permit acquisition, inspections, timelines and finishes handled by one team using licensed trades, with code-compliant work meeting the Ontario Building Code. For condo owners it describes board approval packages, elevator and noise rules and space planning for small units. On new builds it says it is Tarion registered, which applies to new homes and not to ordinary renovations.

The company reports a HomeStars Best Award from 2020 and carries a HomeStars Verified badge, and the website also advertises WSIB-certified condo work. The founding year is not stated on the pages we read, so we have left it out.

Homeowners rate RM Renovation 4.9 from 61 Google reviews, read 2026-10-30. That is a smaller pool than some competitors in this ranking, but the score is consistent with a team that finishes what it starts.

RM suits owners of Etobicoke, Mimico, Islington and downtown condo units who want kitchen, bathroom or full-suite work, and families planning an addition who would rather have drawings and permits handled in-house. It suits less well people who want a one-day handyman visit, because the company is organised around managed projects.

Before booking, ask for a written scope and price, the exact warranty terms, proof of WSIB clearance and liability insurance, and who will supervise the site daily. Ontario has no provincial renovation licence, so confirm that permits will be pulled in your name through the City of Toronto, and ask for the Tarion enrolment only if you are buying a new build.
