Quick Overview

iHow this is made

This summary is generated from the verified data on this profile: services, service area, credentials, warranty terms and the company's Google review record. It is reviewed by an editor before publishing and refreshed whenever the underlying data changes. Nothing here is asserted that is not stated elsewhere on this page.

Editorial Standards →

Local AC keeps its focus narrow, air conditioning repair, installation and maintenance, and runs out of a Church Street address in downtown Orlando. That specialization is reflected in the name and in a customer base that consistently praises installers for knowing their way around the specific mechanical quirks of central AC units in older Orlando homes. The company has built a 4.6-star average across 314 Google reviews, a smaller but respectable base for a specialist operation, and covers the wider Orlando metro from its downtown location. Reviewers mention licensed installers who take the time to size a new system correctly rather than defaulting to a one-size-fits-all replacement.

Editorial Review

Our Take on Local AC

Local AC earns its spot on review quality rather than review quantity. If you specifically need someone who lives and breathes air conditioning systems, without the add-on services larger competitors offer, this is a solid downtown option.

  • Marilyn Sanchez-Osorio5.0I recently installed a brand new air conditioner system from Local AC Heating and Cooling. They are located in both Orlando and Tampa. I have to say that I am very impressed with their service. They were the only ones to show up on a Sunday for my first appointment to explore their products and service. They made everything so convenient and were so helpful, that I went ahead and purchased the unit through them. It was a sound choice. They have always been very helpful, on time, responsive to all my questions, and did a great job installing the unit when I needed it to be installed. They worked around my schedule to make it as easy as possible for me. I highly recommend their services to anyone in the market for an Air Conditioning unit!July 2026Google

About Local AC

Local AC does not try to be a full home-services company; it sticks to air conditioning repair, installation and maintenance and runs that business out of a Church Street office in downtown Orlando. That focus comes through in reviews that specifically credit technicians with correctly diagnosing tricky AC problems, rather than the more generic praise you see for companies juggling several trades. The 4.6-star average across 314 reviews is smaller in scale than some of the bigger names on this list, but the company has kept that rating steady as its review count has grown. For a homeowner whose only need is AC work done well, rather than a company that also handles plumbing or electrical, Local AC's specialization is the selling point.
