About Midwest Heating&Cooling
Midwest Heating&Cooling, Minneapolis, MN, operates from a downtown Minneapolis location on South 11th Street, and its Google page currently averages 4.9 stars across 65 reviews, read September 22, 2026.
The service list covers HVAC system installation, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, indoor air quality solutions, and commercial, residential, and data center HVAC work, a broader commercial reach than most other companies on this list mention. The company doesn't publish a specific Minnesota mechanical license number, a Better Business Bureau rating, brands installed, financing, or written warranty terms, and no individual owner is named, though several reviewers name a technician called Alex for repeat visits, a pattern worth noting when a company doesn't put an owner's name on the site.
Midwest states its emergency repair services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Standard office hours run roughly 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on weekdays, closing earlier at 5 p.m. on Fridays, with weekends reserved for emergency calls only.
Being based right downtown rather than in an outlying suburb matters for anyone living or working in the city center, since it usually means a shorter drive for a technician and a company genuinely familiar with older downtown buildings, condo HVAC setups, and the data center and commercial work the company lists alongside standard house calls.
Midwest suits a homeowner or building manager in or near downtown Minneapolis who wants a company genuinely close by, including for data center and commercial work. It suits less well someone who wants a published licence number confirmed online first, or standard weekend office hours for non-urgent scheduling. Ask for the technician's Minnesota mechanical license number directly and current warranty terms before booking.
