Our Take on Soderlin Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning
Soderlin's 4.7 rating from 300 reviews rests heavily on customers naming the same technicians call after call, a sign of a stable crew rather than rotating subcontractors. Combination plumbing and heating service is a real advantage for bigger jobs, but weekday-only hours rule it out for emergencies.

- Joe Roueche Jr5.0If you are looking for ANY kind of plumbing work - save yourself a TON of grief, eliminate any guesswork and JUST CALL SODERLIN PLUMBING! Soderlin is the ONLY company I ever use and that's over 15 years total. JEFF JOHNSON from Soderlin came out and installed an additional exterior water faucet to my home AND ran a new gas line for my outdoor gas grill. "Ian" - an apprentice - did a masterful job assisting Jeff. Absolutely ( and no surprise to me) was an excellent, professional job on both projects and the finished work (outdoor appearance of the house) looks fantastic too. GUARANTEE: You call Soderlin for any and all of the services they provide and YOU will be SO GLAD you did. Save yourself time and grief...CALL SODERLIN!September 2026Google
- Carol Andersen5.0Excellent work, exceptional people skills from the office scheduling to the plumber who answered my call. I highly recommend, and will continue to call on this service!September 2026Google
- Darlene Grugal5.0Soderlin is my go-to company for HVAC service and checkups. They are prompt and professional and respond quickly in emergencies. They stand behind their work and take customer evaluations seriously.August 2026Google
- Joanna Cullen5.0I had the absolute best experience with Soderlin. Scheduling was accommodating and simple. We have a very old water heater we wanted advice on and they came out for a standard water heater inspection call ($89) and didn't play any games. I believe the tech's name was Jeff. He spent most of his time at the visit explaining to me answers to questions or even just offering wisdom/advice. He did not pressure a sale but he did offer a standard quote for a replacement in case we wanted it. I felt confidence that we can rely on Soderlin for years to come.July 2026Google
- Pat Crist5.0Soderlin Plumbing will be the only call I will ever make for plumbing issues. After having two other plumbers agree that my tub faucets were corroded and I needed new ones for the tune of $1250.00 a friend suggested Soderlin Plumbing. They came out and indicated that a cartridge in the tub faucet for $350.00 would take care of the problem and it did! Soderlin Plumbing is friendly, trustworthy, and knowledgeable.June 2026Google
- Simone Oppen5.0Soderlin installed the water heater in our home (before we moved in in 2022) and it has been working flawlessly. More recently, we have called them for a complex wax ring issue on our toilet and capping a gas line so we can switch to an induction range. Jeff has thoroughly yet efficiently handled both calls. Soderlin is our neighborhood go-to, and I recommend them highly!June 2026Google

About Soderlin Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning
Soderlin Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning has worked out of the Cedar Avenue South address in south Minneapolis long enough that reviewers describe it as their default call for any plumbing issue, backed by a 4.7 rating from 300 Google reviews, read September 17, 2026.
The range of jobs in its reviews is wide: water heater installation, a complex wax ring toilet repair, capping a gas line for a range switch, full bathroom re-piping with new vents and fixtures, and replacing a boiler that was more than a hundred years old, including the asbestos abatement that came with it. One customer was quoted $1,250 by two other plumbers to replace tub faucets, and said Soderlin diagnosed the real problem as a $350 cartridge instead, fixing it for a fraction of the original quote.
Reviewers consistently name specific technicians, Jeff and Joel most often, which suggests Soderlin sends familiar faces back to repeat customers rather than whoever is available that day. The company is a combination plumbing and heating shop, so it can take on jobs, like a full boiler swap, that a plumbing-only outfit would have to subcontract.
Hours run Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with no weekend service listed, so this is not an after-hours emergency option. Soderlin does not publish its license number, warranty terms, or free estimate policy on the pages reviewed, so confirm those directly.
Who it suits: homeowners who want a plumbing and heating shop they can call repeatedly and get to know. Who it suits less well: anyone needing weekend or late-night emergency service.
Before booking, ask for the Minnesota plumbing license number, get a written estimate before major work like a boiler swap, and ask what the warranty covers on parts versus labor.
