Company Background
About Stay Dry Waterproofing
Stay Dry Waterproofing is the residential arm of Domar Group Inc., a Toronto restoration firm founded in 1989, and its own website lists work at Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto General Hospital, York University and a long run of churches, synagogues and schools. That institutional background shows in how the company talks about houses. It treats the foundation as an envelope that water, wind and hydrostatic pressure can compromise, and it lets the wall type, whether poured concrete, block, brick or stone, decide the repair.
The office sits at 168A Oakdale Road, Unit 7, in North York, and the crews serve homeowners across Toronto and the wider GTA. Exterior work follows a set sequence. The crew excavates, cleans and inspects the wall, seals cracks, applies an Aqua Block or Blue Skin membrane, then adds weeping tile and dimple board and tests the drainage. Where digging is not practical, it installs interior drainage with a sump pit and battery backup. The service list also takes in window wells, backwater valves, sump pumps, sewer camera inspections, drain repair, water main work, foundation repair, and underpinning and basement lowering. Emergency service is advertised around the clock, and Google shows the office open 24 hours.
The site quotes warranties from 25 years to lifetime, put in writing, and says the company is fully insured and WSIB compliant. Its about page names Domenic Manno as CEO and describes two partners with about 40 years of experience each.
Stay Dry has 4.9 from 114 Google reviews, read October 21, 2026. Reviewers keep naming Stefano, who measures the problem, sketches the repair and walks homeowners through the quote, and one praised the crew led by Harry for digging, sealing and backfilling quickly. One reviewer who also had interior work done wished the crew had kept the inside cleaner.
It suits Toronto homeowners with cracked or leaking foundation walls, or a basement lowering plan that wants waterproofing done in the same excavation. It suits less well anyone who wants a firm price over the phone, because quotes follow an on-site inspection. Ontario has no waterproofing-specific licence, so before booking, ask for a WSIB clearance certificate and proof of liability insurance, check the company on the Ontario Business Registry, get the warranty in writing, and confirm who pulls the municipal permits for excavation or underpinning.

Stay Dry Waterproofing FAQs
Do waterproofing contractors need a licence in Toronto?
Ontario has no waterproofing-specific licence, so you need to check other proof. Stay Dry Waterproofing says on its website that it is fully insured and WSIB compliant. Ask for a current WSIB clearance certificate and proof of liability insurance, look the company up on the Ontario Business Registry, and confirm in writing who pulls municipal permits when the job involves excavation or underpinning.
Does Stay Dry Waterproofing offer emergency service in Toronto?
Yes, the company website advertises emergency waterproofing service 24/7, and Google lists the North York office as open 24 hours every day. The phone number is 416-782-9379. For emergencies the site describes custom repair, mold removal and drainage work aimed at getting a flooded or seeping basement dry. Ask what the call-out involves and what it costs before you agree to anything.
What warranty does Stay Dry Waterproofing give and where does it work?
The company website quotes warranties from 25 years to lifetime, depending on the solution, with a written guarantee on all work. It serves Toronto from an office at 168A Oakdale Road in North York and lists pages for Etobicoke, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham and other GTA cities. Free estimates follow an on-site inspection, and the site does not state whether the warranty transfers to a new owner, so ask for that in writing.
Is Stay Dry Waterproofing licensed and insured?
We checked 0 of 2 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.
What areas does Stay Dry Waterproofing serve?
Toronto. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.
Does Stay Dry Waterproofing offer emergency service?
Yes, the company lists emergency availability. Response time depends on demand, and after a storm every company in the market is stretched.
What warranty do they offer?
Written guarantee on all work; the website quotes warranties from 25 years to lifetime depending on the solution.. There are usually two warranties on a job: the manufacturer covers materials, the contractor covers workmanship. Get both in writing and check whether the workmanship coverage transfers if you sell.
