Company Background
About TTA Service Underpinning ,Foundation, Waterproofing
TTA Service Underpinning, Foundation, Waterproofing is a Toronto firm whose site leans first on structural work: underpinning, basement lowering, bench footings, walkout basements and crawl space excavation. Waterproofing sits alongside it as a full service, with separate pages for interior systems, exterior membranes, weeping tile and sump pumps. For a homeowner who is already digging the floor down, that pairing means the drainage and the new slab can be planned together instead of by two crews who never meet.
The office is at 1729 Dufferin Street, and the site says it serves Toronto and the GTA. It reports 10 years of expertise and 2,500 happy clients. It does not state a founding year, so we have left one off. The contact page names Taif as CEO and Tonina D'addetta as business admin, with a main line at 647-621-5283 and an email on the company's own domain. Google lists hours of 7 AM to 9 PM Monday through Saturday, closed Sunday.
On the water side, the site describes exterior membrane application, French drains, crack sealing and sump pump installation, plus interior French drains and wall sealants. It ties its approach to Toronto's rain, snow and proximity to Lake Ontario, and promises on-site evaluations to find the cause of a leak before recommending a fix.
The reviews give the best picture. TTA Service Underpinning, Foundation, Waterproofing holds 4.9 from 58 Google reviews, read October 21, 2026. Andy describes Teo and his crew digging down his basement, building a walkout and fixing a walkway, and calls their work conscientious. Another reviewer says the crew kept the workspace spotless while a basement was lowered and waterproofed. Devon and a builder reviewer both credit Taif for foundation and slab work on additions. Most reviews cover structural jobs, so fewer speak to stand-alone leak repair.
This company suits owners planning underpinning or a lowered basement who want waterproofing handled in the same project. It suits less well anyone who only needs a quick sump pump swap or a small crack injection, since the firm's strength is larger jobs. Before booking, ask for written warranty terms, because none are published, and ask who pulls the municipal permits. Ontario has no waterproofing-specific licence, so request a WSIB clearance certificate and proof of liability insurance, and check the company on the Ontario Business Registry.
