About Ace Comfort Air Conditioning & Heating
Ace Comfort Air Conditioning & Heating is a smaller Houston company based on Milwaukee Street on the Northside, just north of downtown. Its website says it was founded in 2015 by Abram Ayala, a licensed technician with more than 21 years of HVAC experience, and it focuses on inner-loop neighborhoods such as Midtown, Montrose, East Downtown, the Heights, River Oaks and the Museum District.
The company repairs, maintains and installs air conditioning and heating systems and works on all major brands. It publishes its Texas air conditioning contractor license, TACLB64349E, and says its technicians are NATE certified. Transparent pricing is a theme across the site, and Ace offers free estimates, financing and 24/7 emergency service.
The reviews back up the pricing claim. One customer had a brand-new unit installed on a Sunday and said the price was a fraction of what other companies quoted. Another called because the house was not cooling, and the team arrived on time, diagnosed the problem right away and fixed it the same day. Reviews are spread across recent months at 4.9, though the total count is lower than the large firms on this list.
The Google profile lists Ace Comfort as open 24 hours Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays, although reviews show the team has taken weekend jobs. Warranty terms are not published on the pages we reviewed.
Who it suits: homeowners in Midtown, Montrose, the Heights and other central neighborhoods who want an owner-led company with straightforward pricing. Who it suits less well: anyone who wants a large company with a long track record and a big review base.
Before booking, ask what warranty covers the labor on a new install, whether weekend calls cost extra, and for a written quote with model numbers.
