I had an excellent experience, they removed carpeting on my main floor and stairs, pulled out every single staple and hammered in every stray nail. Left things safe and tidy! Thank you!

Customer service is nonexistent!!!! Called for service I was told by the gentleman that he would return my call with a response within 15 minutes? No return call. 2 days later I recall and speak to the same gentleman. He reassures me again he will call me back. To no avail? I tried to get through on their website customer service email help platform. It’s been over a month now and no response?? I guess they’re no longer in business and if they still are I would be very surprised! One of the worst if not the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

Our new flooring is in and we are incredibly happy with the result. Tony helped us through so many decisions as we narrowed down what product was best for our home. He is very knowledgeable which we appreciated as this was a big decision. The crew was respectful of our home, followed the condo rules in our building and cleaned up after each day on the job. Thank you Tony and Danforth Carpet Connections. Ann and Ed

I was looking to add a runner up an old staircase and to carpet staircase to the third floor.
I picked these guys because they were local and seemed to have been in business a long time. I can totally see why. I worked with Tony the owner who was super knowledgeable and had a ton of options for me in store to pick from. He also has a garage full of ends. If you wanna do something cheaper, he's flexible to work with anything. Their pricing is super competitive and very fair and the quality of their carpet and install is excellent. They take pride and what they do it shows.

He really knows his stuff and he was prompt and easy to deal with. A real professional very happy with the work. The Carpet looks beautiful. I would totally use him again.

We specifically sought out Danforth Carpet because we wanted to install Marmoleum. We started with an upstairs hallway, with the plan to take on a bedroom at a later time. We love the way the upstairs landing has been transformed and went back a year later and have just picked up the flooring for the guest room. Tony is that one of a kind expert that you hope to find when taking on a do-it-yourself home improvement. Even though we went there with a specific product in mind his store is stacked with high quality flooring which caught our eye. As soon as we finish this job we’ll be planning to move forward. Eventually all the flooring in this house will be redone. This is where we will come for all future needs. Thanks also to Anney for her help and attention to detail!

Company Background

About Danforth Carpet Connection

Danforth Carpet Connection has sold and installed floors from 1999 Danforth Avenue for what its own site calls more than 30 years. The core of the business is carpet: wall-to-wall in wool and synthetic fibres, stair runners, carpet tiles and custom area rugs. Around that it sells solid and engineered hardwood, vinyl, laminate and Marmoleum, and it lists installation and repair, renovation, kitchens and bathrooms, a design centre and carpet rental among its services.

The company works two ways. Customers can visit the store in the east end, or ask for a design consultation at home or in the office, where staff bring samples and measure. The site says it partners with suppliers including Stanton, Mohawk, Forbo and Centura, and it leans on eco-friendly and hypoallergenic choices, which suits households with allergies or concerns about off-gassing.

Danforth Carpet Connection holds 4.6 from 105 Google reviews, read November 1, 2026. That ties for the lowest rating on this list, though it clears our 4.5 floor, and it comes from a smaller base than the larger showrooms. A rating in this range usually means most customers are pleased and a minority had a scheduling or communication problem, so ask how installation dates are confirmed.

The fair caveat is that the site gives few specifics on the installation crew: no warranty length, no certification and no crew size are published, and there is no licence or WSIB number. The company also lists broader renovation and kitchen work that sits outside flooring.

It suits homeowners in the Danforth, Beaches and East York area who want carpet, a stair runner or a wool rug fitted by a long-running local shop, and anyone who prefers a consultation at home. It suits less well buyers who want posted per-square-foot installation prices. Before booking, ask for an itemized written quote, the installation warranty in writing, and proof of liability insurance and WSIB coverage. Ontario does not licence flooring installers provincially, so those documents are your check.
