Quick Overview

iHow this is made

This summary is generated from the verified data on this profile: services, service area, credentials, warranty terms and the company's Google review record. It is reviewed by an editor before publishing and refreshed whenever the underlying data changes. Nothing here is asserted that is not stated elsewhere on this page.

Editorial Standards

Zelta Floor & Design is a family-owned flooring contractor working out of an office on Lawrence Avenue East in North York. It installs hardwood, engineered wood, laminate, luxury vinyl, carpet and porcelain tile, refinishes hardwood, and rebuilds and recaps staircases, with glass railings as a related service. The company says it has been at it for more than 10 years and serves homes, condos and commercial space across Toronto and the GTA. It quotes with a cost breakdown and says what it quotes is what it charges. Reviewers keep coming back to staircases, carpet to hardwood conversions and jobs finished ahead of schedule with the site cleaned each night. The office is by appointment only, so this is a contractor you book rather than a showroom you walk into. 5.0 from 103 Google reviews, read November 1, 2026.

Our Take on Zelta Floor & Design

Zelta is the strongest pick here when the job includes a staircase, since stairs and floors come from one crew and reviewers praise the finish. Treat it as a booked contractor, not a walk-in shop, because the office is by appointment only.

I used Zelta to refinish/stain my hardwood floors and stairs. Serge and Anastasia and their team at Zelta did an excellent job. Their work and craftsmanship were of the highest quality and they finished the job early.

Serge and his team went above and beyond: they noticed that one of my stairs were broken and spent significant efforts repairing it without charging me more. I was beyond impressed.

Serge was always responsive when I had questions, extremely knowledgable, trustworthy, and kind. In addition to his expertise in flooring, Serge is very knowledgable in housing renovations in general and was eager to help me by giving me sound advice for other renovation projects I wanted to do in my home in the future. I can tell Serge is very busy, but he spent the time and effort to give me this advice!

Last but not least, I want to recognize and show my appreciation to Raymond from Zelta team! Zelta did an amazing job refinishing our stairs 2 years ago. We noticed some wear in the finish on the 2 bottom steps most likely due to our two Labrador Retrievers. They took care of repair promptly and professionally and we are truly impressed at how they stand behind their work and work to ensure customer satisfaction post project. Thanks Zelta!

I've had the pleasure of working with Zelta to replace the flooring of my main and second floors. From start to finish, and in spite of me coming to them with a short lead time and amidst a rather tight window before I moved in, they've delivered well! I felt they've taken good care of me and my home. Rarely would I say this, but I actually really enjoy working with these contractors - the communication with all the members were great, they've never pressured me to buy nor make quicker decisions, the pricing was reasonable. More importantly, the craftmanship is excellent - I've been walking around for a few weeks now and everything looks great. BIG thank you to Ray, Daniel, Serge, Ana, and Meer - for an awesome job well done :)

Company Background

About Zelta Floor & Design

Zelta Floor & Design is a family-owned flooring and stairs contractor based in a Lawrence Avenue East office suite in North York. Its own site says the business has been supplying and installing flooring for more than 10 years, and the work list is broad: engineered and solid hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl, carpet, porcelain tile, hardwood refinishing, stair installation, stair recapping and glass railings. Commercial jobs for hotels, restaurants, offices and retail sit alongside house and condo work, and the company lists service pages for Toronto, Etobicoke, Scarborough, North York and a long run of GTA towns.

The process is laid out plainly. Zelta offers a preliminary budget for labour and materials, an on-site take-off estimate, a material consultation and a detailed quote, and it states that the quoted price is the price charged. It says every project is insured and that crews follow safety protocols. It works with European and Canadian suppliers including Boen, Tarkett, Anatolia and Twelve Oaks.

Zelta Floor & Design holds 5.0 from 103 Google reviews, read November 1, 2026. Reviewers describe replacing carpeted stairs with hardwood, fixing a squeaky second floor, and installing flooring around a staircase, and several mention Serge and Anastasia by name. Customers say the crew worked late to hold a timeline, cleaned up each night and stuck to the quoted price. One owner was told candidly what the stair structure would and would not allow, which is the kind of honesty worth wanting before a stair rebuild.

The fair caveat is access. The Lawrence Avenue East address is an office suite and the site says visits are by appointment only, so there is no showroom to browse. The site does not publish a licence number, years in business beyond "over 10," or a warranty period.

Zelta suits homeowners who want floors and stairs handled by one crew, and condo owners with older carpeted stairs. It suits less well anyone who wants to touch samples in a store on a walk-in basis. Before booking, ask for the written quote with materials and labour separated, the warranty terms in writing, proof of liability insurance and WSIB coverage, and whether subfloor levelling is included. Ontario does not licence flooring installers provincially, so those documents are your check.

Zelta Floor & Design FAQs

  • Is Zelta Floor & Design licensed and insured?

Zelta says every project is insured and that crews follow safety protocols, but its site does not publish a licence number or a policy amount. Ontario does not issue a provincial licence to flooring installers, so ask for proof of liability insurance and a WSIB clearance certificate before work starts.

  • Can I visit the Zelta Floor & Design showroom?

Not as a walk-in. The company's address at 1315 Lawrence Ave E, Unit 403 is an office, and its site says visits are by appointment only. Call (647) 997-5114 or email info@zelta.ca to book a consultation, where it offers an on-site take-off estimate and a material discussion.

  • Where does Zelta Floor & Design work and does it do stairs?

Yes, stairs are a core service: installation, renovation, recapping, refinishing and glass railings. Its site lists Toronto, Etobicoke, Scarborough and North York along with many GTA towns. The quote is meant to separate labour and materials, and the company states that the price quoted is the price charged.

  • Is Zelta Floor & Design licensed and insured?

We checked 0 of 1 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.

  • What areas does Zelta Floor & Design serve?

Toronto. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.

  • Does Zelta Floor & Design offer emergency service?

Emergency availability is not listed for this company. If you need an urgent call-out, check the ranking for companies that do list it.

  • What warranty do they offer?

Warranty terms are not on file. Ask for them in writing before work starts.

  • How was this profile built?

Credentials come from issuing authorities, ratings from the company's Google Business Profile with the date we read them, and the editorial take from our own review of estimates, warranty documents and public feedback. Anything the business told us is labelled as reported.

  • Can a business pay to improve its profile?

A business can subscribe to manage its own listing details, and it can buy a labelled sponsored placement. Neither changes a ranking position or the editorial assessment on this page.
