Our Take on Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing - Austin TX
Thirty-four in-house employees and always-free second opinions make Goettl a reasonable pick for anyone still comparing quotes on a big replacement. The financing terms run long, which helps the monthly number but is worth running against a shorter-term loan before signing.
Best for: Austin homeowners who want same-day scheduling and large-company financing options

- Cade Light5.0No one loves doing any home repairs, but we all know about the inevitable joys that home ownership brings. Recently hit 9 years living in my home when everything started to fall apart at once. Been working with Goettl for a few days now between plumbing and AC issues, and the whole team has been very helpful through every step of the process. Worked with Brent, Korey, Derrick, and Carlos and all have been very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable through every stage. Honestly didn't really competitively price shop so couldn't tell you how the prices compare, but everything has seemed reasonable for the scope of work being done. Would recommend this company to all family and friends so far.September 2026Google
- Robin Stall5.0I had a water softener estimate today. Austin was very informative about the installation process and equipment used.September 2026Google
- Ashley Wilson5.0We just bought a home and reached out to Goettl due to clogged drain line, along with another few issues. Korey and Derek came and inspected our system. They arrived on time, wore shoe covers without being asked, brought a gift and immediately got to work. I didnt feel overwhelmed and they didn't try and up sell us. They were very honest, kind and were in and out. Definitely happy with the service and will definitely (but not hopefully) be using them again.September 2026Google

About Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing - Austin TX
Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing's Austin branch opened in February 2021, built on the foundation of Dayton Services, a company the site traces back to 1994. However you count the founding date, the operation now runs 34 in-house employees split between 20 HVAC technicians and 14 plumbers, a large enough team that same-day appointments are a realistic promise rather than a marketing line.
The company's 4.8 rating from more than 4,000 Google reviews is a substantial sample, and reviewers describe technicians who explain diagnoses clearly before recommending a repair or a full replacement. Goettl states it is fully licensed and insured to perform HVAC and plumbing work in Texas and runs an internal quality program it calls Sadie Certified, though that is a company standard rather than a third-party credential, worth keeping in mind when weighing it against a state license number.
On cost, Goettl offers always-free estimates and free second opinions, useful if another company has already quoted a full system replacement and you want to compare. Financing runs through GoodLeap, with options up to $100,000 and terms from 60 to 180 months, a longer window than many smaller competitors offer, which lowers the monthly payment but increases total interest paid over time.
The service area runs from Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Leander down through Kyle and Buda, out to Lakeway, Bee Cave, Westlake Hills, Hutto, and San Marcos, a genuinely large territory made workable by the size of the in-house team.
Goettl suits an Austin homeowner who wants same-day availability, a second opinion before a big-ticket replacement, and long financing terms. It suits less well someone who prioritizes a small, single-crew company with the same technician every visit, given the size of the operation. Before booking, ask for the specific TACLA license number rather than relying on the general licensed-and-insured claim, get the GoodLeap interest rate in writing, and confirm which technician certifications apply to your specific system.

Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing - Austin TX FAQs
How long has Goettl been operating in Austin?
The Austin location opened in February 2021. The company's marketing also references Dayton Services, a business it traces back to 1994, but that heritage predates the Austin branch itself.
Is Goettl licensed to do both HVAC and plumbing work in Texas?
The company states it is fully licensed and insured to perform HVAC and plumbing work in Texas. Ask for the specific license number when you call, since it was not listed on the page reviewed, and confirm it through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
What financing does Goettl offer for a new HVAC system?
Goettl offers financing through GoodLeap, with options up to $100,000 and repayment terms from 60 to 180 months. Longer terms lower the monthly payment but add to the total interest paid, so compare the total cost against a shorter loan before deciding.
Is Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing - Austin TX licensed and insured?
We checked 0 of 1 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.
What areas does Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing - Austin TX serve?
Austin. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.
Does Goettl Air Conditioning and Plumbing - Austin TX offer emergency service?
Yes, the company lists emergency availability. Response time depends on demand, and after a storm every company in the market is stretched.
What warranty do they offer?
Warranty terms are not on file. Ask for them in writing before work starts.
How was this profile built?
Credentials come from issuing authorities, ratings from the company's Google Business Profile with the date we read them, and the editorial take from our own review of estimates, warranty documents and public feedback. Anything the business told us is labelled as reported.
Can a business pay to improve its profile?
A business can subscribe to manage its own listing details, and it can buy a labelled sponsored placement. Neither changes a ranking position or the editorial assessment on this page.
