- Kim Bobbitt5.0Excellent service. Tech was wonderful. Considerate and helpful.September 2026Google
- Louise Michalos5.0Halifax Heat, in my opinion is the best company to choose when installing a heat pump. The crew arrived at 8 in the morning and were finished by 3pm. The electrical and installation trades staff were professional, polite and efficient. The project manager went over the installation plan with me, and made suggestions that I was completely satisfied with. Before the installer left, he provided a complete tutorial on how to use the remote control that operates the unit. Demonstrated and made suggestions on how often to clean the filter. I was then given an easy to read manual covering all aspects of operating the heat pump. Having Halifax Heat partner with Costco was a bonus. I'll receive 10% of the cost of the heat pump in Costco credit which I will use for the purchase of my winter tires! Shout out to the friendly office staff who kept me informed at all times! Thank you!September 2026Google

About Halifax Heat Pumps & Electrical
Halifax Heat Pumps & Electrical operates from a Morris Drive location in Dartmouth under owner Eric, whose name shows up regularly as a guest contributor on CBC's Maritime Noon radio program discussing heat pumps and home comfort. The company's Google page currently averages 4.8 stars across 154 reviews, read September 22, 2026.
The business pairs two specialties that don't always come from the same shop: heat pumps and electrical work. On the HVAC side, that covers central ducted air systems, ductless mini-splits, oil-to-electric heating conversions, electric boilers, and indoor air quality equipment. The electrical division, staffed by Red Seal electricians, handles whole-home electrical work, EV charging installation, and generator setups as an authorized Generac dealer. As a Lennox Premier Dealer, Lennox equipment anchors the heat pump installs, though the company also installs AUX Group, LG, and Kerr systems.
Flexible financing options are available for larger jobs, and the company offers free quotes through its website. The site doesn't state 24/7 emergency availability explicitly, and specific warranty terms aren't detailed beyond what's typical for the brands installed. No Better Business Bureau rating is published, and individual technicians' Nova Scotia certification numbers aren't listed on the site.
Service reaches well beyond Dartmouth itself into Halifax, Bedford, Cole Harbour, Sackville, Fall River, Elmsdale, Enfield, and Middle Sackville, a broad HRM-area footprint.
Halifax Heat Pumps & Electrical suits a homeowner planning an oil-to-electric heat pump conversion who also wants electrical work, generator installation, or EV charging handled by the same company, particularly given the Lennox Premier Dealer and Generac authorized dealer status. It suits less well someone who specifically needs confirmed 24/7 emergency coverage. Ask for the technician's Nova Scotia certification number and current financing terms before signing for an installation.
