Les Services Polarbear has spent over a decade installing and repairing air conditioning and heat pump systems for homes and small businesses across Greater Montreal, and its biggest selling point shows up right in the reviews: an installation turnaround the company itself advertises at 72 hours. The Frontenac Street shop carries Daikin and Friedrich equipment along with Nest thermostats, and reviewers describe crews working carefully around visible ductwork in condo installs, minimizing exposed conduits where possible. Coverage extends well past the city itself into the Montérégie, Estrie, Laval, Laurentides and Lanaudière regions, a wider radius than most other companies on this list. The site doesn't publish an RBQ license number, warranty term or financing details, which is worth asking about directly. At 4.9 stars from 1,275 Google reviews, read September 23, 2026, Polarbear ranks among the most reviewed HVAC installers in the city.

Editorial Review

Our Take on Les Services Polarbear

Polarbear's reputation rests on speed: a stated 72-hour install window that reviewers say actually holds up. It's a strong pick for anyone who wants a heat pump in fast, though the missing license number and warranty details are worth asking about first.

  • Victoria Nix5.0We are extremely pleased with the work done at our home. After years of talking about it we decided to pull the trigger and have our electric baseboard heating system replaced with a full installation of duct work (the home did not have any ducts). The technicians Ben, Steven, and Adrien worked hard for around 5-6 days doing a full installation and working their hardest to cause the least amount of destruction to ceiling space, possible, while also conserving as much headroom and square footage as they could. They were polite, cleaned up after themselves, and took the initiative to carefully move things out of the way wherever they decided to work and to run the new ducts. We were truly blown away by their professional work. I have hired countless trades to work on our home in the past, including various rental properties that we own, and it is rare to encounter the level of professionalism that Ben, Steven and Adrien provided. Their work was exceptional. Thank you so much to each of you. Words can’t express our profound appreciation. And thank you to Alexa as well for coordinating everything and staying in communication, and getting the job done quickly and efficiently. I cannot recommend this company enough. MERCI!September 2026Google

  • Sophie Bouchard5.0Excellent service!
September 2026Google

About Les Services Polarbear

Les Services Polarbear has operated in Montreal for more than ten years, installing and repairing air conditioning and heat pump systems out of a shop on Rue Frontenac. The company built its name on speed, advertising installation completed within 72 hours of a signed quote, and reviewers confirm that pace holds up in practice even for complicated condo jobs where conduits have to be routed carefully to stay out of sight.

Polarbear installs Daikin and Friedrich equipment and offers Nest smart thermostats as part of most jobs. One reviewer who replaced a condo HVAC system with a dual-head install specifically credited the installation team for minimizing visible conduit runs despite a difficult layout, and other reviews describe a similarly high level of attention to finish work rather than just getting a system running. The company's service area is unusually wide for a Montreal-based HVAC shop, reaching into the Montérégie, Estrie, Laval, Laurentides and Lanaudière regions on top of the city itself.

What the website doesn't provide is a specific RBQ license number, a stated warranty term, or financing options, all of which are worth confirming before signing a contract. Polarbear maintains an active Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube presence, which is more social proof than most companies on this list offer, and lists a standard email contact rather than routing everything through a form.

At 4.9 stars from 1,275 Google reviews, read September 23, 2026, Les Services Polarbear suits homeowners who want a fast, well-reviewed install without a long wait for an appointment, and suits less well anyone who wants to see a specific warranty term or RBQ license number published before they call. Before booking, ask for the company's RBQ license number directly and get the warranty terms in writing, since neither is stated on the site.
