About Pure AIR LA

Pure AIR LA is a Hollywood-based HVAC contractor on Grace Avenue that serves Los Angeles along with Culver City, Inglewood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Glendale, Burbank and Pasadena. It works with many top brands rather than tying itself to one manufacturer, which gives customers more choice on a new system.

The company installs and repairs heating and cooling systems, adds central air to homes that never had it, and offers duct cleaning. Its website highlights warranties of up to 12 years and emergency service. It also describes a community focus, including planting trees around Los Angeles.

At 85 Google reviews, Pure AIR has a smaller review base than most companies on this list, but the reviews span several years and are detailed. One family searching for someone to install central air in a very hot home said Pure AIR gave them the best quote and excellent service, with a staff member named Gregory keeping them informed before the job. Another praised a technician named Mikhail for a careful duct cleaning, arriving on time, wearing shoe covers and taking vents apart methodically. Other names mentioned include Dimitrii, Dex and Vladimir.

The Google profile lists Pure AIR as open 24 hours Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays. The website does not publish a CSLB license number on the pages we reviewed, so ask for it before work begins, since California requires a C-20 license for HVAC work.

Who it suits: homeowners in Hollywood, West Hollywood and nearby areas who want central air added or ducts cleaned, backed by a long warranty. Who it suits less well: anyone who wants a company with a large volume of reviews or Sunday service.

Before booking, ask for the CSLB number, which installations qualify for the 12-year warranty, and what the duct cleaning includes.
