Editorial Review

Our Take on Rick Menard Heating & Cooling

Rick Menard's set weekday hours are worth planning around, since the company does not offer the 24-hour dispatch some competitors do. For scheduled furnace or AC work, the strong review base and TSSA licensing make it a solid, locally rooted choice.

Best for: Homeowners who want a locally recognized company with set weekday hours

  • Charles Walker5.0Excellent service. Very professional. We have been clients of Rick Menard Heating and Cooling for 15 year and have always had excellent service and good value for money (both installations and yearly maintenance). We have come to expect high standards of service and workmanship. This installation of our new AC unit (summer 2022) lived up to those expectations. Would recommend Rick Menard Heating and Cooling to family, friends and others without hesitation. In October 2023 we had a furnace replaced and same excellent service as the AC install. Furnace worked great during the first heating season. It was second furnace they installed for us. The previous one was in 2007. We continue to have our systems serviced annually with the same high standards of service and quality. The most recent technicians to visit in the last two years were Stéphane and Balal and they both definitely lived up to the reputation and expectations we have for Rick Menard heating & cooling. They were thorough and punctual and always explained what they were doing and made some helpful suggestions. Great work all around. Would definitely recommend without hesitation!September 2026Google

  • Camille Desmarais5.0Service exceptionnel. September 2026Google
  • M F5.0Great service! I had a furnace that needed replacing and Rick Menard Heating and Cooling were very responsive, good value, and professional installers. I had had a furnace installed in a former house by Rick Menard and was also very happy with the service. Highly recommended.September 2026Google

About Rick Menard Heating & Cooling

Rick Menard Heating & Cooling has earned local recognition as one of Ottawa's best HVAC companies, and its 1,196 Google reviews at a 4.9-star average back up that reputation. The company runs from an Old Innes Road location and states it is TSSA licensed for gas-fired heating equipment work. Unlike several larger competitors, Rick Menard keeps a set Monday through Friday schedule, 8am to 4pm, closed on weekends, which points to a company built around planned appointments rather than round-the-clock emergency dispatch. The company also lists support for local causes like the Ottawa Food Bank and the Snowsuit Fund, a detail some Ottawa homeowners weigh when choosing between similarly rated contractors.
