Editorial Review
Our Take on Texas Quality Plumbing
A review count above 4,300 at 4.8 stars is the sort of track record that is hard to manufacture, and it points to a company doing steady residential volume across a wide slice of Greater Houston. The published licence number and the 2007 start date are both easy to verify, which we like. Treat the membership plan and financing as options to weigh rather than reasons to book, and get the scope and permit responsibility in writing before work starts.
Best for: same-day and after-hours residential plumbing across Greater Houston, especially water heaters and slab leaks
What We Like
- Google rating of 4.8 from 4,345 reviews as of September 4, 2026, an unusually large review base
- Texas licence number 40075 published openly on its website, so it can be checked with the state board
- Hours listed as 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with same-day and emergency service advertised
- Trading in Greater Houston since 2007 under family ownership, per its own site
- Broad published service area covering Katy, Cypress, Spring, Kingwood, Pearland, League City and The Woodlands
- Full residential range from fixtures and disposals through to repipes, gas lines and slab leak repair
Things to Consider
- Pricing is described as upfront on its own site, but no rates or call-out fees are published, so ask before dispatch
- A high-volume service company carries more overhead than a solo plumber, which can show up on simple repairs
- The membership plan and financing offers only make sense if you read the terms and expect to use them
- Two different phone numbers appear across its listings and website, so confirm you have reached the right dispatch line

- Jason Haritos1.0I have to wonder if this is a friends and family run business. I believe these are relatives and friends operating under someone else's license because there is no way these guys are certified plumbers. They are truly fraudsters and amateurs. TQP was contacted through our Home Serve insurance. They have been out to my house on several occasions now. The first time was a clogged sewer service line. The "tech" was a young male that spent more time in their van on his phone than he did working. After he unclogged our line. He did a half-assed backfill. I would be amazed if he put any morter around the "repair". He left all of the debris on the ground for me to dispose of. To add to the debris he left his charging station and a Milwaukee battery pack behind that was no longer functioning. I guess he expected me to throw it away for him. The second instance, the tech was good and completed the work as needed. This third time has been a nightmare. Our toilet has been clogged for two weeks now. Tech has been out twice. Claimed it was fixed. Keep in mind, we are a single bath house. So, yea this has been extremely frustrating. Toilet is still clogged.I called them to get the tech back out but they did not want to back their work and instructed me to call Hone Serv which they know severely delays their return back out here. Texas Quality Plumbing is a very poorly run operation that is going to eventually bury itself in bad reviews and poor word-of-mouth.September 2026Google
- Jane Hink5.0Our home was repiped by Irving and Catalina. They were professional, amazing plumbing three floors, cleaned up each day and explained all aspects of job process daily. Recommend their services to anyone needing house completely repiped.September 2026Google
- JUAN ZAMORA5.0We experienced a water line leak incoming to the main valve, and Texas Quality Plumbing sent a highly qualified technician/plumber to look into the problem. Luis M. immediately found the faulty connection/leak, shut water off, and proceeded to clear the area. He removed the cracked elbow & lines, reconnected new elbow/lines and all connections with high efficiency. Luis checked and double checked to make sure all connections were perfect and leak free! I highly recommend Texas Quality Plumbing for all you plumbing needs, and have to note that Luis M. performed the job very professionally, knowledgeable and efficiently with a very friendly demeanor…thank you Luis and your company for a job well done!!September 2026Google
- Glenis Augustine5.0On today we were so pleased to know that Marlon and his associate came out and fixed drain issue at first we were feeling a little discouraged because of yesterday's fiasco. However it was redeemed by the great service we received on today. He came in and apologized for the inconvenience that we were put through. And from there he was scheduled between 8:00 and 12:00 today but they didn't show up to 5:30 p.m. And got the job done.September 2026Google

iAbout service coverage
Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. A company will often travel beyond the areas listed here for a large job and decline a small one at the same distance, so confirm your address before scheduling.
About Texas Quality Plumbing
Houston plumbing work is shaped by two things above all: post-tension slabs sitting on clay soil that swells and shrinks with the weather, and a huge stock of houses built between the 1960s and the 1990s with galvanised or early copper supply lines. That combination produces slab leaks, sudden pressure drops, rusty water and drain lines that have shifted enough to hold standing water. Texas Quality Plumbing lists all of that as core work, alongside water heaters, gas lines, repiping, fixtures, garbage disposals, water softeners and filtration.
The company describes itself as family-owned and Houston-based since 2007, and it publishes a Texas licence number, 40075, on its site. That is worth noting because Texas requires a licensed master plumber to hold responsibility for a plumbing company's work, and the number can be checked against the state board's public register before anyone books. The Google profile, read on September 4, 2026, shows 4.8 stars from 4,345 reviews. A count that high tells you the company runs a lot of trucks and a lot of jobs, and it also means the average is unlikely to be swayed by a handful of good or bad weeks.
Day to day, the operation looks built around volume residential service. Published hours are 24 hours a day, every day, and the site advertises same-day appointments plus emergency response, an online water heater quoting tool, financing through a third-party lender, and a paid membership plan that bundles an annual inspection with a discount on work and no service fee. It also mentions being an authorised installer for a major fixture brand and carrying product lines for tankless heaters and drain treatment. None of that is unusual for a company of this size, but it does tell you what kind of visit to expect: a scheduled window, a technician who quotes on site before starting, and options presented at more than one price point.
The fit is clearest for homeowners across Greater Houston who want a company that answers the phone at two in the morning and can send someone the same day. If your water heater has failed the week before a family visit, or a sewer line is backing up into a downstairs shower, a large outfit with dispatch capacity is usually a better bet than waiting on a solo plumber's callback. The published service area is broad, covering Katy, Cypress, Spring, Tomball and Jersey Village to the north and west, then Pearland, Friendswood, League City, Clear Lake, Pasadena and Baytown to the south and east, plus Conroe and The Woodlands further out.
Who it suits less well is harder to say from the brief, but the general pattern holds for any high-volume service plumber. If you are chasing the lowest possible number on a straightforward repair, an independent plumber with lower overheads may quote less. If your project is a gut renovation or new construction with an architect's drawings, ask specifically about that kind of work rather than assuming a service-focused company handles it routinely. And membership plans only pay off if you actually use them, so read the terms before signing.
Before booking, get the quote in writing with the scope spelled out, and ask whether the price covers permits. City of Houston permitting and inspection applies to water heater replacements, gas line work and repipes, and a licensed company should be pulling those rather than leaving it to you. Ask what warranty covers labour as against the manufacturer's warranty on the tank or fixture, since those are different lengths. For a slab leak, ask whether the plan is to break the slab or reroute overhead through the attic, and what the finish repair includes. For sewer trouble, ask whether a camera inspection is included in the diagnostic fee or billed separately, and request the footage. On after-hours calls, confirm the call-out charge and whether it is credited against the repair.
Compared with the wider Houston market, which runs from single-truck operators to national franchise brands, Texas Quality Plumbing sits in the middle ground: local ownership and a long trading history, paired with the scheduling and financing infrastructure you would normally associate with a franchise. Its active presence on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Yelp gives a reader more than one place to check how the company handles complaints, which is often more informative than the star average itself.

Texas Quality Plumbing FAQs
Is Texas Quality Plumbing really open 24 hours?
Its Google Business Profile lists 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the company advertises 24/7 emergency service on its own website. It also says a real person answers the phone at any hour. For a genuine after-hours emergency, ask what the call-out charge is and whether it is credited toward the repair before the van is dispatched.
What is the Google rating for texas quality plumbing?
4.8 stars from 4,345 reviews, read from its Google Business Profile on September 4, 2026. That review count is very large for a plumbing company, which makes the average more stable than a rating built on a few dozen reviews. The company also links to a Yelp listing if you want a second source.
Which areas around Houston does the company cover?
Its published service area covers most of Greater Houston. The list includes Katy, Cypress, Spring, Tomball, Jersey Village, Humble, Kingwood and Atascocita to the north and west, Bellaire, West University Place, River Oaks and the Memorial villages inside the loop, and Pearland, Friendswood, League City, Clear Lake, Pasadena, Deer Park, Baytown and Sugar Land to the south and east. Conroe, Montgomery, Magnolia and The Woodlands also appear.
Is the company licensed?
It publishes Texas licence number 40075 on its website and describes itself as licensed and insured. Texas requires a responsible master plumber for any plumbing company, and licence numbers can be checked on the state board's public register. Ask for the licence and insurance details in writing on your quote if you want them confirmed for your specific job.
Do I need a permit for a water heater or gas line replacement in Houston?
Generally yes. Water heater replacements, gas line work and repipes typically require a City of Houston permit and inspection, and a licensed plumbing company should pull it as part of the job. Confirm at quoting stage whether the permit fee is included in the price, because an uninspected water heater can cause problems later when you sell the house.
How is a slab leak usually repaired on a Houston house?
Two ways: break through the slab to reach the failed section, or abandon that run and reroute new pipe overhead through the attic and down interior walls. Rerouting often costs less in finish repair and avoids disturbing the slab, while a tunnel or slab cut can be the better option depending on where the leak sits. Ask which approach is being quoted, and what the price includes for concrete, flooring and drywall repair afterwards.
Does texas quality plumbing handle commercial work?
Its website says the licensed plumbers cover residential and commercial jobs across Greater Houston, from small repairs up to whole-home repipes. The published service list reads as mostly residential, so if you manage a restaurant, retail unit or small apartment building it is worth describing the property and the job on the first call to confirm they take that type of work.
Is Texas Quality Plumbing licensed and insured?
We checked 0 of 1 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.
What areas does Texas Quality Plumbing serve?
Houston. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.
Does Texas Quality Plumbing offer emergency service?
Emergency availability is not listed for this company. If you need an urgent call-out, check the ranking for companies that do list it.
What warranty do they offer?
Warranty terms are not on file. Ask for them in writing before work starts.
How was this profile built?
Credentials come from issuing authorities, ratings from the company's Google Business Profile with the date we read them, and the editorial take from our own review of estimates, warranty documents and public feedback. Anything the business told us is labelled as reported.
Can a business pay to improve its profile?
A business can subscribe to manage its own listing details, and it can buy a labelled sponsored placement. Neither changes a ranking position or the editorial assessment on this page.
Is Something Incorrect?
