Installs are where this Garaga dealer earns its reviews, and the 1979 start date and 35-plus staff show in how smoothly jobs are described. Spring emergencies get priority, though weekend counter service and walk-in visits are not on offer.

Company Background
About The Door Company Ottawa
The Door Company Ottawa earns most of its praise for installs. A shop owner thanked Corey and Derek for putting in three overhead doors quickly and cleanly while answering every question, and a homeowner called Chris efficient, prompt and dedicated after a full door replacement, with Corrine on the sales side praised for setting the date and answering questions. Another reviewer said the price was fair and the new windows brought in a lot of light.
The company has worked the Ottawa market since 1979 from 9236 Castor Road in Metcalfe, inside the amalgamated city. Its site says it has more than 35 employees and installers, an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and memberships in the Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association and the International Door Association. In August 2023 it announced a partnership with Garaga, and it now presents itself as a certified Garaga Expert while still servicing brands such as Clopay, Amarr, Wayne-Dalton, CHI, Hormann and Raynor. LiftMaster is its preferred opener, and it also fits Chamberlain, Genie and Marantec units.
Repairs are a real part of the business. Ed wrote that a failed coil spring on a double garage was replaced and both doors inspected and lubricated in under an hour, and Stanley, a repeat customer, was moved to a priority list when a torsion spring broke with his car inside. The company lists broken springs, cables, rollers, tracks, section replacements and safety inspections, plus 24-hour emergency service.
It serves Kanata, Nepean, Barrhaven, Orleans, Gloucester, Vanier, Stittsville, Manotick and Osgoode, along with Arnprior, Carleton Place and Casselman. The company has 4.6 stars from 279 Google reviews, read October 25, 2026.
Fair points: the Google listing and the website show different phone numbers, the Castor Road office is rural and visits are by appointment only, and the office is closed weekends.
This company suits homeowners and businesses who want a new door installed by an established crew, and farms or shops that need agricultural or commercial doors. It suits less well anyone who wants a walk-in showroom or weekend counter service. Before booking, ask for a written quote, the spring cycle rating, the warranty terms for the door and the hardware, and look the business up on the Ontario Business Registry, check its City of Ottawa business licence where applicable, and ask for a WSIB clearance certificate.

What areas does The Door Company Ottawa serve?
Ottawa. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.
