Ali and his team has done an excellent job in renovating my senior condo from a poorly maintained unit to a fresh beautiful modern home. For my situation my renovation price was given discount. He and his subcontractors do all the great installation with materials of my choice where applicable. They did the necessary follow up and touch up to ensure the best quality. Ali did beyond the scope of the work contract such as fixing extra things and adding extra small finishing for free. Their job safety is properly insured as required. Their work is backed by 2 years warranty.
Some Tips - Plan the renovation well with an overall theme and materials details of your preference. Take photos before, during, and after the renovation. Don't hesitate to talk to them. Good and timely communication certainly makes the project better.

We contacted several companies for our bathroom renovation, and many of them told us the project could not be done the way we wanted.
Thankfully, Violet Company took on the challenge and delivered beyond our expectations. The entire renovation was completed with outstanding quality, excellent timing, and incredible attention to detail. The final finishing was absolutely beautiful. Their team was highly professional, skilled, and truly a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process.
We are extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-quality renovation services.

We're very happy with our bathroom renovation. My wife is a wheelchair user and our condo wasn't constructed barrier free.
We shopped around for a company but most of them didn't have an understanding of ADA compliance or the implications of renovating a condo bathroom with these requirements. Most also didn't have appropriately licensed electricians, plumbers, or engineers, which were all required for approval by the management.

Violet build was already familiar with all these hurdles. Ali drew out a plan with a wider entrance and a sliding door, floors raised a bit via slight ramp, then sloped down to the shower area, counters barrier free underneath, appropriate height, shallower sinks, relocating and adding outlets, and a clean modern feel overall. It's honestly the best thing we've done to our condo for safety and comfort since we've moved in 3 years ago. Night and day comparison to what we were living with up to that point.

Would definitely recommend if you want a professional company that truly understands the challenges of someone with a disability.

Company Background

About Violet Build Toronto

Violet Build Toronto presents itself as a boutique builder, and the paperwork on its site describes a more formal operation than most. The company works from 99 Broadway Avenue, near Yonge and Eglinton, and offers custom homes, full home renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions and condo renovations in Toronto, Richmond Hill, Aurora and Newmarket. Its site says Violet was founded in 2023 on the back of 15 years of Toronto experience from founder Ali Farahani, and lists a 2025 RenoMark Award for Best Renovation.

The stated protections are specific: fully licensed, 5 million dollars of liability insurance, WSIB compliant and a two-year workmanship warranty. No licence number is shown, so ask which licence is meant. Association badges on the site include BILD, CHBA and OHBA.

Reviews cover the kinds of jobs the company wants. One owner of a newly bought house said the team handled city permits and subcontractors and that they delegated many design decisions. Watson, who renovated a senior's condo, credited Ali and his subcontractors. One couple, with a wife who uses a wheelchair, needed an accessible condo bathroom and licensed trades that building management would approve, and said most other firms did not understand the requirements. Another owner had pot lights installed, a wall removed and a glass stair railing added.

Violet Build shows 5.0 from 58 Google reviews, read October 31, 2026. Two points are worth weighing. The company dates itself to 2023, so its track record under this name is short. The Broadway Avenue address is an office building, not a shop, and the phone number has a 905 area code.

It suits owners planning a high-end house or condo renovation who want permits and trades coordinated. It suits less well small repairs or tight budgets. Before booking, ask for the licence details, a written scope and quote, the warranty in writing, proof of insurance and a WSIB clearance certificate. Ontario has no provincial renovation licence, and new homes need Tarion enrolment through the builder.

Violet Build says it is fully licensed, carries 5 million dollars of liability insurance and is WSIB compliant, but it does not publish a licence number on the pages we read. Google lists the Broadway Avenue office as open Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 7 PM and Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM, closed Sunday. The phone is 905-401-5222. The address is an office building, so book a meeting before visiting.

  • Does Violet Build give a warranty, and where does it work?

The site states a two-year workmanship warranty, so ask for the terms in writing. It lists Toronto, Richmond Hill, Aurora and Newmarket, and offers custom homes, full renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions and condo renovations.

  • Is Violet Build Toronto licensed and insured?

We checked 0 of 3 credentials against the issuing authority. Verified items carry the date we checked; reported items are what the business told us and we could not independently confirm.

Toronto. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.

  • Does Violet Build Toronto offer emergency service?

Emergency availability is not listed for this company. If you need an urgent call-out, check the ranking for companies that do list it.

  • What warranty do they offer?

Two-year workmanship warranty, per the company's site.. There are usually two warranties on a job: the manufacturer covers materials, the contractor covers workmanship. Get both in writing and check whether the workmanship coverage transfers if you sell.

  • How was this profile built?

Credentials come from issuing authorities, ratings from the company's Google Business Profile with the date we read them, and the editorial take from our own review of estimates, warranty documents and public feedback. Anything the business told us is labelled as reported.

  • Can a business pay to improve its profile?

A business can subscribe to manage its own listing details, and it can buy a labelled sponsored placement. Neither changes a ranking position or the editorial assessment on this page.
