Excellent working with Zack in the showroom and in my condo to replace the floor after a flood. They started on time and worked until the job was completed. Lukasz my installer did great work, was friendly and took all my concerns into account. These guys are top self.

I cannot thank the team at West Valley Flooring enough for the amazing job they did with our home. Cory was extremely helpful, honest and got us the best deal on a pet safer carpet. He went out of his way to get us measurements and was easy to get a hold of whenever questions arose. Our installer Ben was quick with the three day install and did a phenomenal job with our whole home. Hollywood stairs look perfect, not a single scuff on the wall on baseboards, and it was clean and beautiful when he finished. Did I mention Ben did it solo? Yes he is a master at what he did and does. Thanks again team. Highly recommended getting your new carpet here 🙏🙌

Zach made the experience amazing, he kept in contact with us and was very accommodating. He checked on finished results and ensured installers came back to fix any issues. We did carpet and flooring instal, both turned out beautifully. Highly recommend this place.

Company Background

About Westvalley Carpet & Flooring

Westvalley Carpet & Flooring is a Calgary flooring store at 12018 Symons Valley Road NW, with a second showroom in the southeast under the same name. Google lists the two separately, and this profile covers the northwest store, which holds the larger review base: 4.9 from 373 Google reviews, read November 1, 2026.

The company's installation page is more specific than most. It describes dust containment barriers and floor runners set up before the crew starts work, screwing a squeaky wooden subfloor to the joists, and acclimating flooring before installation because Calgary's high altitude and dry climate can cause shrinkage in winter heating months. It says installers follow municipal and provincial building codes, including stair nosing, and states a labour warranty in addition to full manufacturer warranties. The exact warranty length is not given on the page we read.

Cory is named in review after review as the sales representative who kept customers informed on order status, found a pet-safe carpet at a good price and helped with hardwood. Customers describe new carpet in condos and whole houses, plus luxury vinyl plank. The store is open Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9 to 6, Wednesday and Thursday 9 to 8 and Saturday 9 to 5. No email address is published on the site.

It suits homeowners in Symons Valley, Evanston, Sage Hill and nearby who want carpet or vinyl installed with a clear prep routine and evening hours twice a week. It suits less well someone who wants a hardwood specialist only. Before booking, ask for the labour warranty length in writing, a quote that separates material and labour, and confirm the City of Calgary business licence. Alberta does not license flooring installers as a trade.
