Basements in the Southtowns take a beating. Clay soil holds water, spring thaw arrives fast off the lake, and a lot of the housing between Hamburg and Orchard Park sits low enough that a failed sump pump means an inch of water on the floor by morning. That is the environment 716 Plumbing LLC works in, and it shows in the service list: sump pump installation, sump pump backups, water-powered backup units, sewer cleaning and repair, hydro jetting and video inspection sit alongside the everyday faucet and toilet work.

The range goes further than most small plumbing shops advertise. Hot water tanks, tankless and on-demand systems, garbage disposals, shower and tub repairs, vanity and toilet installation, laundry hookups, gas lines, lawn sprinklers, pool filters and bubbler systems all appear. Bathroom remodeling is offered too, which puts the company in the bracket of firms that will handle a rough-in and finish rather than only repairs. For a reader planning a project, that is worth knowing, because juggling a separate remodeler and plumber often costs more in scheduling than in money.

Coverage stretches from the Hamburg base through West Seneca, Lackawanna, East Aurora, Boston, Blasdell and Depew, with the website also naming Cheektowaga, Amherst and Williamsville. That is a broad territory in Erie County terms. It is realistic for a van-based operation on Route 5 and the 219, though anyone calling from the far northern towns should ask about travel time before assuming a fast arrival, especially in a snow event when the Southtowns can be the hardest part of the county to move through.

The availability claim is the headline. Hours published on the Google profile show open 24 hours every day of the week, and the company's own material repeats the 24/7 emergency line. Buffalo winters make that meaningful. Frozen and split supply lines, failed pressure relief valves on old tanks, and sewer backups after heavy rain do not wait until Monday. Ask, as you would with any firm advertising overnight coverage, whether after-hours calls carry a different rate and whether the person answering the phone is the plumber or a dispatcher.

On reputation, the Google Business Profile showed a 5.0 rating from 116 reviews when it was read on September 4, 2026. A perfect average across that volume is uncommon and suggests consistent small-job work rather than a handful of glowing entries. Reviews are the strongest independent signal here; the rest of the picture comes from the company's own website, which describes its plumbers as licensed, insured and certified, and says estimates covering material and labour are given before work begins. Those are claims worth confirming in writing on your own job.

Good fit: a homeowner in the Southtowns who wants one number for both the 2am emergency and the planned replacement. Someone whose sewer lateral has been backing up every autumn and needs a camera down the line before deciding between rodding, jetting and a dig. A landlord with a couple of properties who needs quick turnaround between tenants. Less obviously a fit: large commercial mechanical contracts, new subdivision rough-ins, or heating work, since 716 Plumbing LLC presents itself as a plumbing specialist rather than a combined plumbing and HVAC firm.

Before hiring, get the scope in writing, including whether excavation, permits and municipal inspection are included. Sewer lateral replacement in older Buffalo and Lackawanna neighbourhoods often involves the sidewalk or the street, and that pulls in the town or city as well as your budget. On water heaters, confirm the make, the capacity, whether venting or gas line changes are needed, and who registers the manufacturer warranty. On sump work, ask whether the discharge line is being run to daylight or tied into something it should not be, because storm and sanitary connections are a recurring problem in older Erie County housing.

Compared with the bigger branded outfits working out of Buffalo proper, a Hamburg-based company of this scale usually means the person who quotes is the person who shows up, with less overhead priced into the ticket and less pressure toward whole-system upsells. The trade-off is capacity. During a hard freeze or a heavy rain, small crews book out fast, so calling early in the day matters more than it would with a firm running a dozen trucks.
