Our Take on The Plumbing Source
A 4.9 average across 1,207 Google reviews is a genuinely large body of feedback, and combined with a 1985 start date it makes this one of the more substantiated plumbing operations in the Cleveland area. The Buffalo listing is the odd note, since every signal on the company's own site points at Northeast Ohio, so verify coverage before you plan around them. For sewer and drain work in particular, the equipment list suggests they can diagnose in-house rather than subbing it out.
Best for: 24-hour drain, sewer and plumbing work across Northeast Ohio
What We Like
- 4.9 rating from 1,207 reviews on its Google Business Profile, read September 4, 2026
- Trading since 1985, per its own website, with residential, commercial and municipal work
- Listed as open 24 hours every day, with a live answering team advertised overnight
- Broad in-house capability including hydrojetting, camera inspection and pipe lining
- Financing and coupons advertised for larger projects such as repiping and water heaters
Things to Consider
- Address is Bedford Heights, Ohio and the company's own site targets Cleveland, so Buffalo-area coverage should be confirmed before calling
- Warranty is described as covering select installations rather than all work, so ask what applies to your job
- No pricing, call-out fee or after-hours rate is published, so get the fee structure confirmed on the phone

- Craig5.0Overall best experience with a contractor to complete service in my home. Easy online scheduling for next day appointment. Friendly customer service when I called the next day with additional questions. Contractor that performed work was friendly, professional and left the job site clean. I will use them again and will recommend to family and friends.September 2026Google
- Terry Bauman5.0This is my first time using Haven for any services. My front yard backflow preventer had not been checked for years, and I am not able to get down and do the work myself. I called for an appointment on a Friday and they scheduled me for the very next business day. All communications with me were thorough and accurate. This included my initial intake call, confirming my appointment day/time, sending a picture of the technician in advance, providing estimated and actual arrival time, and forwarding my electronic invoice. Everything was done in a very timely fashion. The two technicians who arrived were very courteous, polite, knowledgeable and informative. They listened to my questions and were very engaging. (Sometimes technicians can seem dismissive or impatient with their customers, but this was definitely NOT the case with these two gentlemen.) They went right to work, explaining each step along the way. They also worked quite well as a team, which was a pleasure to see. The work was completed and they cleaned up the area nicely. As a customer, I cannot think of any service aspect this company was lacking in. Professional all the way! I am totally satisfied and would absolutely consider them for any future need.September 2026Google

iAbout service coverage
Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. A company will often travel beyond the areas listed here for a large job and decline a small one at the same distance, so confirm your address before scheduling.
About The Plumbing Source
Plumbing companies that survive four decades usually do it by widening the work they take rather than chasing one profitable niche, and the service list here reads exactly that way. Residential repair sits alongside commercial accounts for restaurants, multi-family housing, hospitals, retailers and warehouses, and the site also describes municipal work as a state-licensed approved contractor. That mix matters to a homeowner more than it might seem. A shop that runs sewer cameras and hydrojetters for apartment buildings and grease-heavy kitchens owns equipment that a two-van residential outfit often has to rent, and it tends to have technicians who have seen a collapsed clay lateral before rather than reading about one.
The range covered runs from small fixture swaps up to full repipes. Burst pipe repair, water line replacement, gas lines, sump pumps and ejector pumps, slab leak repair, catch basins, clogged toilets, garbage disposals, water softeners and whole-house filtration, backflow testing and certification, camera line inspection, and pipe lining and patching where a dig is undesirable. Water heaters get their own attention, storage tank and tankless both. Financing and coupons are advertised on the site, which suggests the bigger jobs, sewer replacement, repiping, a tankless conversion, are priced as projects rather than hourly work.
Before anyone dials, there is a geography question to settle. The listing surfaced in a search for plumbers in Buffalo, New York, but the registered address is 5042 Corbin Dr in Bedford Heights, Ohio, and the company's own marketing talks about Cleveland, Strongsville, Rocky River and Bay Village. Nothing on the site mentions western New York. If you are in Erie County, treat the Buffalo association as a directory artefact and ask directly whether they cover your address. If you are in Cuyahoga County or nearby, you are squarely in the stated territory.
For Northeast Ohio work, the local conditions are worth naming. Cleveland's older east and west side neighbourhoods are full of homes built before the Second World War, which means galvanised supply lines that have narrowed to a straw, cast iron stacks nearing the end of their run, and clay sewer laterals with tree roots in every joint. Frost depth here is real, so water services and outdoor hose bibs are a winter risk, and a burst pipe in an unheated crawl or an uninsulated cellar wall is a January staple. Basements are the other constant. Sump pumps and backwater valves do heavy lifting in a region with lake-effect precipitation and combined sewers in some older districts, and a failed pump during a thaw ruins a finished lower level fast.
The reviews are the strongest single piece of evidence available. The Plumbing Source shows 4.9 from 1,207 reviews on its Google Business Profile, read on September 4, 2026. Volume that high, held at that average, points to consistent dispatch and consistent technicians rather than a lucky streak. The company also links to a Better Business Bureau profile and to Yelp, which gives a reader two more places to sanity-check the picture.
Who it suits: homeowners who want one number for drains, sewers and plumbing rather than three separate specialists, property managers and restaurant operators who need grease traps and backflow certificates handled on schedule, and anyone facing an overnight failure who would rather speak to a person than leave a voicemail. Who it suits less: someone hunting the cheapest possible price on a single small repair, since a company with 24-hour live answering and multiple dispatch points carries overhead that shows up in the invoice.
Questions worth asking on the call. Is the diagnostic or trip fee applied to the repair if you go ahead. Is the quote flat-rate or hourly, and does after-hours change the rate. If it is a sewer job, will they camera the line first and show you the footage. Which parts of the work carry a warranty, given the site mentions strong warranties on select installations rather than all of them. And for any excavation or gas work, who pulls the permit and books the municipal inspection. Compared with the national franchise brands operating in the same market, The Plumbing Source presents as locally owned with a long trading history, which usually means more continuity in the crew arriving at your door.

The Plumbing Source FAQs
Does The Plumbing Source cover Buffalo, New York?
Confirm this before you book. The registered address is 5042 Corbin Dr, Bedford Heights, Ohio, and the company's own website describes serving Cleveland and Northeast Ohio communities including Strongsville, Rocky River and Bay Village. Nothing published mentions western New York. If you are in the Buffalo area, call (216) 365-0600 and ask directly whether your street falls inside the service area.
Are they actually available in the middle of the night?
Published hours list the business as open 24 hours, seven days a week, and the website advertises a 24/7 live answering team rather than voicemail. Emergency plumbing and burst pipe repair are both named services. The listing does not publish an after-hours rate, so ask what an overnight or weekend call-out costs when you phone.
How reliable is the 4.9 rating?
It is drawn from 1,207 reviews on the company's Google Business Profile, read on September 4, 2026. A sample that size is unusually large for a plumbing contractor and is harder to skew than a few dozen reviews. The company also links to Better Business Bureau and Yelp profiles if you want a second reading.
Can they handle a sewer line problem without digging up the yard?
The service list includes pipe lining and patching alongside camera line inspection and hydrojetting, which are the tools used for trenchless repair and diagnosis. Whether lining suits your line depends on its condition and material, so a camera survey usually comes first. Ask to see the footage before agreeing to any sewer work.
Do they do commercial as well as residential work?
Yes. The website lists commercial specialties for restaurants, multi-family housing, hospitals, retailers, office buildings and warehouses, including grease trap installation, drinking fountain work and backflow testing and certification. It also describes municipal work as a state-licensed approved contractor.
Is financing available for big jobs like a repipe or a new water heater?
The website advertises financing and a coupons page, which points to project-based pricing on larger installations rather than straight hourly billing. Terms are not published, so ask what plans are offered and whether any promotional pricing applies to the specific job you need.
Is The Plumbing Source licensed and insured?
We have no credential records on file for this company yet. Ask for the certificate directly from the insurer before booking work.
What areas does The Plumbing Source serve?
Buffalo. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.
Does The Plumbing Source offer emergency service?
Emergency availability is not listed for this company. If you need an urgent call-out, check the ranking for companies that do list it.
What warranty do they offer?
Warranty terms are not on file. Ask for them in writing before work starts.
How was this profile built?
Credentials come from issuing authorities, ratings from the company's Google Business Profile with the date we read them, and the editorial take from our own review of estimates, warranty documents and public feedback. Anything the business told us is labelled as reported.
Can a business pay to improve its profile?
A business can subscribe to manage its own listing details, and it can buy a labelled sponsored placement. Neither changes a ranking position or the editorial assessment on this page.
