Our Take on BH Floors

A big, well-stocked showroom with a strong rating and two recent workmanship complaints. Good for choosing materials; ask pointed questions about who does the install.

BH Floors Ottawa repaired our kitchen hardwood after a dishwasher leak, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Jane in the office kept communication clear throughout, and Jason and his crew were super professional on site.

What stood out was the care they took with our home — no shoes on the freshly sanded and stained first-floor hardwood, careful reinstallation of our kitchen cabinets, and a thorough cleanup when they were done.

We'd seen the similarly named Toronto company online, with some less than flattering reviews, but BH Floors Ottawa is a separate business (Toronto is just their hardwood supplier) — and our experience here was excellent. Above-average care, communication, and customer service all the way through. Highly recommended.

Extremely disappointed with my experience here. The installer made no effort to match the level of our new floors to the old ones. The workmanship did not meet my expectations for what a professional job should look like. The transition pieces were sloppily done. We’ve only had our new floors for a few years and the boards are warping. Would not recommend.

We’re currently having new hardwood floors installed on our main floor, and Jane has made the entire experience fantastic. From the very beginning, she took the time to clearly walk us through all the options—explaining differences in color, price, and quality so we could make an informed decision. She was incredibly patient while we figured out exactly what we wanted and never made us feel rushed.

Jane was also very responsive and easy to reach whenever we had questions throughout the process, which made everything much less stressful. Her knowledge and customer service really stood out.

When we’re ready to replace the floors upstairs, we’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you to BH Floors—and especially Jane—for making this such a smooth and positive experience!

We had a floor done with engineered hardwood, and we had engineered hickory put on one wall. Carter did a great job and was extremely quick. He was helpful with suggestions for how to maximize the best hickory planks. He also created great transitions for the doorways. All are dealings with BH were great, and they were extra helpful with all aspects of the job. Their prices on the hickory were much better than the competition. A minor point is that the estimate lumped most of the labor costs together, (floor and walls), which made it confusing when I changed my mind on the job, but they were very accommodating when I made changes a couple of times. I would highly recommend BH floors.

"I am absolutely delighted with my new carpets! The service from BH flooring was exceptional from start to finish. The team was punctual, professional, and took great care while moving furniture and fitting the carpet. The finish is beautiful, and they left everything spotless. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality flooring and a stress-free experience."

Company Background

About BH Floors

BH Floors runs a large showroom and warehouse at 110 Bentley Avenue in Nepean. The site describes an 18,000 square foot space where hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl plank, tile and stone are laid out for comparison, which matters if you would rather walk on a sample than judge it from a photo.

The company is part of the Brampton Hardwood family. Its website says it has more than 30 years in flooring. Beyond floors it builds stairs and railings, and it offers full renovation services, so a kitchen or basement project can sit under one contact instead of three.

BH Floors holds 4.7 stars from 87 Google reviews, read November 1, 2026. The praise is specific. Jane in sales comes up in reviews, Carter wrote about engineered hickory that was installed, and Sam described floors that were refinished. The honest negative is real too. Two one-star reviews, dated July 2025 and June 2026, complain about workmanship. Two complaints among 87 reviews is a small share, but they are recent enough to be worth asking about.

Hours are Monday to Friday 9 to 5 and Saturday 10 to 5, with Sunday closed. The phone is (613) 224-8444.

BH Floors suits people who want a big selection under one roof, who are pricing hardwood or vinyl for a whole floor, and who like choosing from physical samples. It suits less well anyone who needs a single small repair or a tile specialist, since this is a broad retailer rather than a one-trade crew. Before booking, ask who will install the floor, whether that crew is employed or subcontracted, how subfloor flatness and moisture are checked in an older Ottawa basement, and what the written workmanship warranty covers.

  • Can a business pay to improve its profile?

A business can subscribe to manage its own listing details, and it can buy a labelled sponsored placement. Neither changes a ranking position or the editorial assessment on this page.
