Our Take on Comfort Air Conditioning & Heating
Servicing every major manufacturer rather than pushing one preferred brand is a practical selling point for a home with an odd or older system, and a 5.0 average across 184 reviews backs up the pitch, even if the review count itself is more modest than some competitors.

Recent Google Reviews
- Oliver Erece5.0It was immediate and Mike came to our home when it was sitting at 92 degrees. Trapping heat even with windows down (highest 96). The house was humid and muggy for 3 days and we had a no-show technician from another company. Mike was kind enough to make a late evening emergency visit. I couldn't thank him enough. We have been sleeping on our restroom floor to stay cool before he came. Thank you again!September 2026Google
- Luziano Chavez5.0I shopped around before making the final decision to go with Comfort as their offer was very competitive with other companies along with establishing estimated completions and answering any questions. They had equipment ready to go and were able to go off my preferences while still educating me on a few items for consideration. The team was able to complete a full HVAC replacement and a mini zone split in 7 hours! They got me squared away and showed me how to use the new system. Great customer service, and highly recommend.September 2026Google
- Marel Dugan5.0I’ve used Mike and the team at Comfort Air Conditioning and Heating multiple times for HVAC repairs, and I’ve been extremely pleased with their service every time. They’re competitively priced, honest, professional, and always provide excellent service. I highly recommend Mike and his team for all of your heating and air conditioning needs!September 2026Google
- Sanford Family5.0Helpful service, came on time, reasonable and fair pricing. So grateful they were available at short notice and resolved our issue quickly.September 2026Google
- FP Fitzpatrick5.0Mike called to ask if he could arrive early which was fine for me. He asked a few questions and then went directly to work. He had the needed part in his truck. He was done in about 15 minutes and our A/C has worked great since he made the repair.September 2026Google
- Cristine Marquardt5.0Great experience with Comfort Air Conditioning & Heating. The technicians arrived on time, were professional throughout, and took the time to clearly explain what was going on with our AC. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone needing AC or heating service.September 2026Google

Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. A company will often travel beyond the areas listed here for a large job and decline a small one at the same distance, so confirm your address before scheduling.
About Comfort Air Conditioning & Heating
Comfort Air Conditioning & Heating runs out of a Conestoga Court location in San Diego's College Area, and has built a 5.0 star average across 184 Google reviews as of September 23, 2026, a smaller review count than several companies in this ranking but a spotless rating. The company describes itself as servicing all major HVAC manufacturers rather than steering customers toward one preferred brand, with Goodman equipment featured prominently in its marketing.
The company's listed service area is one of the widest in this ranking by geography, stretching from Poway and Escondido in the north to Chula Vista and La Mesa closer to the city, and out to Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas and Solana Beach along the coast, plus El Cajon, Lakeside and Spring Valley to the east. That footprint suggests a company built around county-wide dispatch rather than a single neighborhood base. Reviewers name specific technicians, including Mike, Eugene and Ida, in describing their service experience.
Hours run 8 AM to 7 PM Monday through Friday and 8 AM to 4 PM Saturday, with the shop closed Sundays, so this isn't a round-the-clock emergency operation. Free quotes and estimates are available, and financing is offered through a dedicated page on the company website, though specific terms, a contractor license number and founding year are not published publicly.
Comfort Air Conditioning & Heating fits homeowners anywhere in its wide North County to East County service area who want a smaller shop that works on any brand of equipment already installed. It suits less well anyone needing Sunday or late-night emergency service, since the shop closes at 7 PM on weekdays and is closed Sundays entirely. Before booking, ask for the technician's license number directly and confirm financing terms in writing, since neither appears on the public site.
