Our Take on Denver's Best Heating & AC Repair

The R-454B and R-32 refrigerant readiness is a genuinely forward-looking detail as the industry phases out older refrigerants, and the waived diagnostic fee on approved repairs is a fair, transparent structure, even though the review count trails the rest of this ranking.

  • Michele Shaffer5.0Jim and his team are the BEST! We had an AC unit go down on the hottest week of summer and they came and worked tirelessly until it was repaired. Anthony spent so much time troubleshooting and even installed a mobile unit we had purchased when it couldn’t be repaired over the weekend. Would definitely recommend!August 2026Google
  • Lori Collier3.0If you're looking for an honest, trustworthy, and highly knowledgeable HVAC company, look no further than Denver's Best Heating & AC Repair! Jim was absolutely outstanding. He arrived promptly, quickly diagnosed the problem, and had our air conditioner up and running in no time—even during 90+ degree weather! His professionalism, expertise, and willingness to explain everything gave us complete confidence that the job was done right. We were so impressed with the quality of service that we immediately signed up for their twice-a-year maintenance plan. It's hard to find someone as reliable, honest, and customer-focused as Jim. Thank you, Jim, for your exceptional service and a job incredibly well done! You've earned customers for life, and we'll be recommending you to all of our family, friends, and neighbors. UPDATED on 8/19/26: Addendum to Our Original Review - Unfortunately, after our initial service, our AC continued to have problems. During the first visit, Denver's Best replaced a fuse, and we paid $185 for the service. When our AC stopped working again a few days later, they returned and replaced the control board at no additional charge, which we truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the AC stopped working again after that repair. We ultimately contacted another HVAC company, for a second opinion and a more comprehensive inspection. The new HVAC technician, John, performed a thorough inspection of our furnace, blower, AC compressor, and control system and determined that the replacement control board was defective. The blower and compressor were not operating properly. John replaced the control board and continued testing the system rather than simply leaving once the AC came back on. During his testing, he also discovered that the system's refrigerant/pressure readings were significantly below the proper levels. He addressed the issue, and the system is now operating properly. We noticed a significant difference in the performance of our AC afterward. We do appreciate that Denver's Best came back and replaced the control board at no charge. However, because the replacement board was defective, we ultimately needed another HVAC company to properly diagnose and resolve the underlying issues. We wanted to update our original review so that others have the full picture of our experience. Our initial experience with Jim was positive, but unfortunately, the subsequent repairs did not resolve the problem permanently.August 2026Google
  • Luke Hagberg5.0Absolutely blown away with the service. Jimmy came to our place and within 10 minutes figured out the issue with our AC and was able to resolve the issue immediately. Walked me through the whole process to make sure it doesn't happen again and waived the service charge. We are saving his number and will request him again for any other HVAC needs.August 2026Google
  • Jason Hickman5.0Jimmy was excellent, professional and quick. Took photos to explain the whole situation and answered all my questions. Most importantly, he didn't try to upsell me anything, just did the exact job I was asking for. The last HVAC company I used tried to strongarm me into a $20k new system in summer of 2025 (my system is still working as of Aug 2026), but Denver's Best seems like the opposite kind of company. I will definitely reach out to Denver's Best the next time I have HVAC concerns.August 2026Google
  • Steve Gower5.0Jimmy was excellent! Found the problem and fixed it within a half hour. No upsell. Just a decent guy who knows his stuff!August 2026Google

About Denver's Best Heating & AC Repair

Denver's Best Heating & AC Repair has worked the southeast metro since 2015 from an office near Virginia Village, with a service area that reaches Cherry Hills Village, Glendale, Park Hill, and Castle Pines alongside central Denver.

Technicians carry NATE certification and EPA Section 608 credentials for refrigerant handling, and the company specifically notes it is equipped for the newer R-454B and R-32 refrigerants that are replacing older formulations industry-wide, a forward-looking detail not every competitor mentions. The service list covers furnace repair and installation, emergency furnace calls, AC repair and installation, boiler service, swamp cooler work, ductless mini-splits, and commercial HVAC and rooftop units, giving the company a foothold in both residential and light commercial work.

Pricing is upfront and flat-rate, with a $79.95 residential diagnostic fee that is waived once a customer approves the recommended repair, which removes some of the guesswork around a first-visit cost. The company runs 24/7 emergency dispatch with a live technician rather than an answering service, and same-day appointments are commonly available.

Reviewer Jason Hickman described technician Jimmy taking photos to document the issue and skipping an upsell, doing only the job that was needed, and Taylor Duran's review describes fast same-day dispatch on the first hot day of summer. The rating sits at 4.6 from 149 reviews, the lower end among this ranking's ten companies, though still comfortably above the 4.5 threshold used to build this list.

The company does not publish specific license numbers, though its NATE and EPA credentials are clearly stated. Denver's Best suits homeowners who want transparent, itemized diagnostic pricing and newer refrigerant expertise. It suits less well someone weighing review volume heavily, since its count is the smallest here. Ask to see the technician's EPA 608 card on arrival and get the diagnostic fee waiver terms confirmed before the visit.
