Our Take on Instant Plumbing & Heating Ltd
A master plumber running the business his parents started in 1972, Red Seal plumbers on staff and a two-year installation warranty make Instant one of the most trustworthy family shops in Calgary. The crew is smaller than the biggest firms here, so book ahead for non-urgent work.

- Todd Shannon5.0Very pleased with the visit the technician paid us. He did a thorough check on both our furnaces and discovered one issue on the one unit and is flowing up on parts availability to correct the issue.September 2026Google
- Joseph “jcdyyc” Dort5.0We have had Instant Plumbing and Heating help us out with a number of problems over the years and they have been consistently excellent. They do high quality work and they actually show up when they say they will. We've been in our new home for 5 years and haven't had any need for a plumber until recently when our newly installed water monitoring system notified us about high wanter pressure in our lines. I confirmed this myself and then called Instant Plumbing. They sent a very pleasant plumber (Kris) who made a great impression with his demeanour and also with his knowledge. He confirmed our pressure issue and then explained the options open to us and why we probably should do something to reduce the water pressure in our home. I ended up choosing what was probably the most expensive option and about 2 weeks later the parts were in and Kris came to do the installation. He showed both of us how to keep an eye on the new system, let us know about the 3 year warranty and told us to call if we had any questions or concerns. In a world where people aren't always careful and customer focused, Instant Plumbing stands out from the pack. We recommend them highly. 2. Another service call to Instant Plumbing Sept 17, 2026 and the same outcome as above. Excellent service from Charlotte with careful explanations and knowledgeable solutions. Highly recommended.September 2026Google

About Instant Plumbing & Heating Ltd
Instant Plumbing & Heating is a true second-generation shop. George Pinel Sr. and Shirley founded it in 1972 as Action Plumbing, and their son George Pinel Jr., a master plumber who started working beside his father at 12, took it over in 2001. He runs it today with co-owner Carolyn Pinel from 3625 6 Street NE in the Greenview Industrial Park. Google shows 903 reviews at a 4.8 average, read September 24, 2026.
The website lists its people with their tickets. Anthony G., the plumbing manager, and Tanner C. are Red Seal plumbers with B gas fitter certificates, and Kris A., Elijah and Charlotte round out the plumbing crew. The company says nearly 85% of its work comes from referrals and repeat customers, and it holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and a HomeStars Best of 2024 award.
Work covers plumbing repairs and drain clearing, water heaters and tankless systems, boiler installation, repair and diagnostics, furnace and AC repair and replacement, and water treatment including softeners and reverse osmosis. Instant is available 24/7, offers Financeit financing, and gives a 100% satisfaction guarantee with a minimum two-year parts and labour warranty on installations. It serves all four quadrants of Calgary plus Airdrie, Chestermere, Okotoks, Cochrane, Canmore, Rocky View and Foothills County.
Reviewers talk about thorough, tidy installs. Ben, Phili and Carter replaced an old water heater with an IBC tankless unit and recirculation system, and the owner called them the best crew he had had in the house. Anthony got a nod for arriving on time, with the company's software texting ahead, and explaining the scope before starting. Elijah was singled out for clear explanations, and one repeat customer came back for a furnace after a water heater job and had it installed within the week.
Instant suits a Calgary homeowner who wants a family firm with master and Red Seal plumbers, especially for tankless heaters, boilers or a furnace replacement with a written two-year warranty. It suits less well someone looking for the biggest crew in town. Ask which technician is coming, confirm the gas fitter certificate for any gas work, and check who pulls the City of Calgary permit.
