Editorial Review
Our Take on Musso Plumbing & Heating, Inc
A 4.4 average across 348 Google reviews, read on September 4, 2026, is the kind of record that comes from volume rather than polish, and that suits us fine for an emergency trade. The combination of plumbing, boilers and forced air under one roof is genuinely useful in Western New York, where the same house punishes both systems. Get the warranty terms and the quote format confirmed in writing before the big jobs, and this is a sensible shortlist entry.

- janice kedzierski2.0I am. A senior citizens, on sat sept.5. I discovered my refrigerator tube was leaking all. OVER,. warped some of my wood flooring. I being so stressed called. Musso , sheridan dr at 8pm. They said would be there in an hour, so happy to hear how prompt this emergency was. ($180.00 emergency call) They changed the tube and , shut off valve. The cost was $948.00 i was shocked I feel this was extremely pricey and taken advantage of. $500 or $600' would have been pricey but it was an emergency and late week end.September 2026Google
- Finn Calvert5.0Amazing experience from start to finish. The team was incredibly responsive and solved the issue quickly without any delays. Excellent service!July 2026Google
- Cassandra Postek5.0The water quality in my house over the years has been getting worse and worse. The smell of Chemicals like chlorine seemed to be intensifying. I am so happy I called Musso plumbing to install a whole house water filtration system. What a difference! I have clean filtered water coming out of every tap, toilet, hose bib, and shower. Even my skin and hair feels healthier without all of those chemicals that are in our water. I highly recommend getting one of these installed if you are experiencing the same issues. No more buying plastic water bottles which is going to save me tons of money over time. The installers were very knowledgeable, courteous, and got the job done in a very short period of time. Thank you, Musso Plumbing! Highly recommend!July 2026Google
- X X1.0There are now several tax levies A $75000 judgement Any customer would be crazy to use this companyJuly 2026Google
- Randy Martin2.0I called Musso plumbing about 430pm on a sunday. They quoted that they would arrive by 830pm and they were right on time. Very nice that there is a company who will be quick on the weekends. I had a main drain plug that needed to be addressed. $129 for the travel fee seemed very reasonable. When the tech assessed the situation it was quoted at $599 to clear the exterior clean out to the main (about 30 feet). After 15 minutes or so I was told that the clog could not be cleared a full new drain trap was needed at an estimated cost of $7500 for just the trap. I decided to try to see if insurance would cover the cost and in the meantime I contacted another plumbing company to get a second opinion. They were onsite early Monday and were able to clear the clog. I have lived in this house for 16+ years and this was our fist plumbing issue so felt it was odd that a full replacement might be needed. Happy I got a second opinion. Very happy that Musso works 24/7 and was on time to their estimated time of arrival.July 2026Google

Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. A company will often travel beyond the areas listed here for a large job and decline a small one at the same distance, so confirm your address before scheduling.
About Musso Plumbing & Heating, Inc
Musso Plumbing & Heating, Inc works out of 8574 Sheridan Dr, on the Buffalo and Williamsville line, and covers both plumbing and heating and cooling from the one address. That dual scope matters more here than it would in a milder climate. A Western New York house has to survive lake effect snow, a freeze that can run from November into April, and then a humid stretch in July that puts the air conditioner under load. Companies that handle only pipes tend to hand off the furnace call. This one takes both, which is why the same van that clears a kitchen drain in autumn may be back for a no-heat call in February.
The published service list is fairly complete for residential work. Drain cleaning and sewer cleaning, sewer repair and replacement, pipe leak repair, toilet work, sump pump service, water heater installation and repair on the plumbing side. Heating repair, furnace repair and replacement, boilers, and air conditioning installation and repair on the mechanical side. Boilers deserve a note, because a lot of the older housing around Buffalo, particularly the pre-war stock, still runs hydronic heat, and not every HVAC company in the region is comfortable with a cast iron boiler and a zone valve problem. Having boilers named on the service list is a useful signal.
Sump pumps come up constantly in this market. Basements here take on water during the spring melt and after heavy summer storms, and a pump that fails at the wrong hour causes real damage. The company advertises a three-year warranty on sump pumps, longer than the one-year general warranty it lists, and a two-year warranty on sewer line repairs and replacements. Those are the company's own published terms, so ask for them in writing on the invoice rather than taking the website as the contract. Warranty language on sewer work in particular should specify whether it covers the repaired section only or the full run.
On reputation, the Google Business Profile showed 4.4 from 348 reviews when read on September 4, 2026. That is a good score across a large sample, and a large sample is more informative than a perfect score across thirty. A 4.4 also means a visible minority of unhappy customers, which for a company running emergency work at all hours usually clusters around pricing surprises or scheduling. Worth reading the one and two star reviews yourself before you book anything large, and worth noting the company also maintains a Yelp listing and active Facebook and Instagram pages.
Who is it a good fit for? Homeowners in Amherst, Williamsville, Clarence and the northern Buffalo suburbs who want a single company for pipes and heat, and who value someone answering the phone at two in the morning. Anyone facing a sewer replacement or a full furnace changeout should get at least two quotes regardless, because those jobs vary by thousands depending on line depth, restoration work and equipment tier. The company mentions financing through Synchrony and posts coupons, which suggests it competes on offer and payment terms rather than on being the cheapest hourly rate.
Before you hire, ask a few plain questions. Is the call-out fee waived if you proceed with the repair, and does it change after hours or on a Sunday? Is the price quoted flat rate or hourly, and is it given before work starts? For sewer work, will a camera inspection be run first and will you get the footage? For a furnace or AC install, who pulls the Town of Amherst or City of Buffalo permit and who handles the manufacturer registration, since equipment warranties often lapse if registration is missed. For a water heater, whether a straight swap will still meet current venting and expansion tank requirements, which frequently catches out older installs.
Compared with the wider market, musso plumbing heating inc sits in the middle ground between the one-truck independent plumber and the large regional franchise. Independents are usually cheaper and slower to reach in an emergency. The big multi-brand operations have scale but often push replacement over repair. A long-established local firm with a real premises, five decades of trading and a large review history tends to behave differently, because the reputation is tied to the same address year after year. That, more than any marketing line, is the practical argument for musso plumbing heating inc when the basement is filling and you need somebody who will still be reachable next winter.

Musso Plumbing & Heating, Inc FAQs
Does Musso Plumbing answer calls at night and on weekends?
Yes. Hours on the Google profile are listed as open 24 hours every day of the week, and the company advertises 24/7 emergency service. What is not published is whether an after-hours visit carries a different rate, so confirm the call-out charge and any evening or Sunday premium when you phone.
What is their Google rating?
4.4 out of 5 from 348 reviews on the Google Business Profile, read on September 4, 2026. That is a large review count for a single-location company, which makes the average more meaningful than a perfect score from a handful of customers. The company also maintains a Yelp listing worth cross-checking.
Do they do heating as well as plumbing?
Yes. Alongside plumbing, the published service list covers heating repair, furnace repair and replacement, boilers, and air conditioning installation and repair. Boilers being named matters in Buffalo, where plenty of older houses still run hydronic heat and not every HVAC contractor is set up for it.
How long have they been in business?
Since 1974, according to the company's own website, which puts it at more than fifty years serving the Western New York, Buffalo and Williamsville area. A long trading history at a fixed address is a reasonable proxy for stability, though it is a claim from the company rather than an independently verified fact.
Where are they based and what areas do they cover?
The premises is at 8574 Sheridan Dr, Buffalo, NY 14221, on the Williamsville side. The site describes coverage across the Western New York, Buffalo and Williamsville area. If you are further out toward Lockport, Hamburg or the Southtowns, confirm your address is in range before booking.
What should I ask before agreeing to a sewer replacement?
Ask for a camera inspection first and ask to see the footage. Then confirm whether the quote is flat rate or hourly, what surface restoration is included, who pulls the municipal permit, and exactly what the two-year sewer warranty the company publishes actually covers. Sewer jobs vary by thousands depending on depth and access, so get a second quote.
Do they offer financing?
The company's website says it offers several payment options including financing through Synchrony, and it posts coupons. Terms, approval and interest are set by the finance provider rather than the plumber, so ask for the specifics in writing before signing off on a furnace or sewer job.
Is Musso Plumbing & Heating, Inc licensed and insured?
We have no credential records on file for this company yet. Ask for the certificate directly from the insurer before booking work.
What areas does Musso Plumbing & Heating, Inc serve?
Buffalo, West Seneca, Tonawanda, Amherst. Coverage is as the business describes it, cross-checked against where its recent documented work is. Confirm your address before scheduling, particularly at the edge of a service area.
Does Musso Plumbing & Heating, Inc offer emergency service?
Emergency availability is not listed for this company. If you need an urgent call-out, check the ranking for companies that do list it.
What warranty do they offer?
Warranty terms are not on file. Ask for them in writing before work starts.
